I know that assholes like this guy make it tempting to dismiss and be pissed off with Christianity, but don't allow him to colour your perspective on Christians. If you were born in Saudi Arabia, you will claim that Allah is the true god and all others all "false idols". If you were born in Japan, you will claim that only Budda/Amatersu is real.
Christianity is 2100 years old. There are religions with span over 5000 years. What makes your religion right and others wrong?

Nowhere in either comment does it propose that Christianity is 'right' or that others are 'wrong'. He is simply saying don't judge a book by it's cover. In this sense, he means don't hate Christianity as a whole just because a pitiful excuse for a human, such as this preacher, is spewing hate and ignorance.

I only said that this man's actions shouldn't influence people to judge Christians. Because the truth is, guys like this give Christianity a bad name, and sometimes he sticks with people and he is what some remember when they encounter devout Christians.

This guy came to my school, Wright State University. The rainbow alliance went and basically camped out all day there and gave him shit and after being tired of being called "sissies" one of the gay guys challenged him to a push up contest and Brother Micah won by over 10 push ups. It was probably the funniest thing I've ever seen.
