For example, if giving billionares million of dollars in tax breaks create jobs, why are there no jobs? Although I will agree that this specific FOX news report does seem to show a lack of research on their behalf, I do not believe that characterizing our response to terrorism as a war in any way strengthens Al Qaeda's prestige and recruiting power. If anything, it weakens it. This war is justified as we were attacked just as we were attacked during Pearl Harbor and any competent potential Al Qaeda recruit would know better than to wage war with the Greatest Nation on Earth.

He was trying to say something along the lines of both having to be allowed based on equality, but incestual relationships are not on the same grounds since they present a special threat that gay marriages do not. Incestual relationships are inherently harmful and unlawful, while gay marriages function just as well as heterosexual marriages. I have no problem with triad marriages. What you're arguing is like saying if we allow gay men to donate blood, we have to accept blood donations from people who are HIV-positive.

Although I will agree that this specific FOX news report does seem to show a lack of research on their behalf, I do not believe that characterizing our response to terrorism as a war in any way strengthens Al Qaeda's prestige and recruiting power. If anything, it weakens it. @maxine2win the only difference between the two is that one attack was on a military base and the other was against civilians. however, in both cases American civilian lives were lost and that constitutes an act of terrorism. I do see Al Qaeda and Imperial Japan as the same. They used the same tactics to provoke American military retaliation and both deserved the defeat they were handed. I believe captured terrorists should be put to death on the spot and I am opposed to Guantanamo bay.

I think Republicans were just using the term "we are at war" to express a metaphor that it's becoming more of a reality to the President and that they hope for him to take more appropriate measures than he has been on the issue.
This video blows that out of proportion and makes it seem as if this tries to make it seem as if Republicans were actually lying to people about the the supposed obliviousness of that the country not being acknowledged that we're engaged in war by the President.

I object to Liberalviewer calling Afghanistan a "War of necessity". Fine, Al-Qaeda attacked us and had a haven in Afghanistan. We then attacked those safe havens. The eight years of war against the people of Afghanistan since then has been pointless.

What we have been fighting since is the organized resistance of Afghani citizens against a foreign invader. The only reason we are still there is that this administration doesn't want the stigma of being a cut and run presidency. This is a big price to pay so that some politician can save face.
