One of the coolest cars ever made!!! I think they look better than the newer versions. If i had to choose between these 2 i would go for the black one, the big antenna on the back ruins it a bit for me. But i would not mind to have the white one either, i could always remove that thing.
@Gaston043 The antenna has been off the car for almost 2 years. The video was taken Jan 2010, and its almost Jan 2012. Check out the more recent videos of my white W140. You'll see the antenna has gone. :-)
They are pretty cool. Ive been driving my w140 for about 13 years and Im pretty bored with it. Radio has never worked, doors wont lock, vacuum lumbar supports, door looks, door close assist, rear pop antennas all stopped working long ago. Gas hog too. Saw a red w140 that looked cool tho.
@puppetmasterblaster Yeah cars lose their appeal when they start to fall to bits. Luckily mines still in near perfect order - no scratches and the engine, doors, lumbar supports,locks, steering etc are all working great.

Nice S320s. I'm not trying to be rude but S600 grilles, aftermarket headlights/taillights and bigger rims or other little things like that don't justify putting AMG or Brabus badges on the car. However it's your car so I won't tell you what to do, I'm just giving my two cents.
Although it looks nicer than a stock 320, you won't be fooling any Mercedes enthusiasts and the people who don't know what AMG or Brabus are won't care. At least you didn't put S600 on the back, those are the worst people
@C06coolvette I hear you. Its a Japan thing. Its cool to do that here but not overseas and we are aware of this phenomenon. For the record, my white one doesnt have AMG badges on it now. It was the previous owner, and at that point I hadnt gotten round to doing anything about it.
The A.M. headlights are excellent quality glass units and the rims.. well they are rims specifically for Benzs, so theres nothing wrong there either. But yeah, your comments are welcome. ;-) Thanks for stopping by.

Anyway I'm probably gonna be buying one of these cars. My budget will allow me to get a early 600SEL or a later S420/S500. I'm leaning towards the S420 since it seems to have a good mix of power and fuel economy without the worry of the dreaded SLS/wiring harness headaches. (saw it on benzworld)

@hpwan2 Some W140s were made without sunroofs - it was an option. I wanted a sunroof, but my W140 was in such great condition, I figured a great car without a sunroof is better than a potential breakdown car with a sunroof.

@HeisW140 He is right, cars are great to look at, but horribly to drive. 500 and 600 are the better choice. 320 have the equal consumption, but performance is way down below. Way you pick up 320??? I don't understand why people buy a 280 and not 320 same as 420 why not 500???? Consumption is the same both a inline 6 engines and 420/500 V8 motors. 193hp vs 231? and 279 vs 326hp??? That's no difrence???
@Mercedes600SEL Why S320? S500/S600 taxes are much higher (emission tax - around $1200 US a year, weight tax and road tax not included)
Japanese dont care for cars - they just buy another one,so a used S500/S600 means big repairs on old cars that have never been loved - S600s/S500s have many more options in them, so major bucks again... I actually wanted an S500 but my S320 was in such perfect condition, the worn out S500s I saw just didnt cut it. A mint S320 is better than a busted up S600.

@oskarbergqvist No, although they do look similar, being 16 spoke chrome rims...
They are Carlsson 1/16 chrome copies. The ACE/OXXO pumas have a groove down every spoke - The Carlssons do not.
When I bought them, I didnt know all that much about rims to be honest. They were in my price range (2 grand used) and they looked sharp.
