I am not the "horse person" in our family....it is my wife. But, when I went to the Rolex cross country for the first time, I was completely blown away, in awe of the athleticism and stamina of these animals. It is hard to appreciate in this video but some of the jumps are so huge that I had NO idea that the horse was going to go OVER them. I thought they were obstacles to go around.....like a slalom course. A trip to the Rolex Cross Country NEEDS to be on everyone's "bucket" list. Overwhel

you know what i really like about this video?! aside from the fact that i'd be the rider holding on for dear life, there are several riders in here who pat their horses after a jump. its just cool to me that they are encouraging their horses like that, and it helps to reassure me that many riders out there do care about their horses and they arent just out there for the fame. i praise and love on my boy all the time =)

Grease. It helps them get over the jump in worse case scenarios. Since the jumps are solid, they wont fall like arena jumping, so if they hit their legs, its bad.
