  • this thing is all wing and no fuselage. that man looks like a stick too.

  • That runway is more than 20m. Are you blind?

  • @cirebackwards1 Runway is, but the T/O looks like 20 meters.

  • This aircraft, a Italian built Tecnam P92 is not a stol, only a conventionnal european ultralight (minimum speed 65km/h) : the take off is only short because the strong wind+Rotax 912 engine

    Vielen Dank.

  • Pilot pushes throttle up. V1!!! ROTATE!!!! VR!!!

  • @MrFly757 its V1 ROTATE V2 (V1,VR,V2)

  • OMG...what's the rotation speed rating for this aircraft? 15-kts? Geesh! Bet you see a lot of THOSE in Bogota!

  • Is that a skyfox?

  • FL240 isn't that a little bit too high for a plane like this?

  • The 25 knot headwind is what made his day. Of course, I'm sure the STOL capability is very good too...

  • 1:53 to get to the point.

  • Proof positive that some people do have more money than brains?????

  • Looks like some nasty cloud cover. What is the maximum wind speed this plane can fly in? Around 40 MPH?

  • @hyboost

Minimum speed is 65km/h, take off at 75 to 80km/h

  • General, your plane is ready. : )

  • looks like that thing can take off at about 5 knots lol

  • He did have a good strong headwind to assist. The airframe was trying to lift off before he got in (check the way the nose was tipping up).

  • crazy and skilled are very close tom each other, you know...

  • Is that the Storm Rally with the Rotax engine? I just got checked out in one around a year ago. Very nice plane

  • not crazy at all

  • lets see him land on the same length runway though. THEN i will be impressed

  • Talk about a quick getaway! awesome flying!

  • @xMJEC no headwind is right, headwind for airflow from front of wing to back provides lift. tailwind provides negative lift

  • @celeb3000 yeah I just realised after I wrote it, my bad.

  • Comment removed

  • Judging by the tail number I'm assuming this was filmed in Portugal???

    Great footage!!!

  • WHAT AIRPLANE IS THAT?!

  • try doing that with a Boeing 747

  • can we say HEADWIND

  • in south america they would hire you in heartbeat

  • skilled

  • nice runway

  • Is this between Ericeira and Cabo da roca and controled by Sintra app...?

  • Look up: STOL Competitions

  • @bayenne5b Holy fucking christ man, thanks.

  • It took the plane 4 seconds to take off! WHAT THE FUCK!?

  • 1:55 for the Take-Off Thumbs this up so everyone can see it.

  • That thing could take off of a helipad...

  • like a catapult...

  • Lovely.. the 30 knot headwind helps. Take off is at ~50 knots so he only needed to get 20 knots rolling. Still ballsy.

  • @telecasterbear it's a canadian unit of measurement called metre. It's also used by other countries in the world as a standardized unit of measuring distances. Hope that helped.

  • what does 20m mean?

  • @telecasterbear a person is about 1.5-2 m tall, so basically about 10 people lying down head to toe

  • Little fuel?

  • ...OK, Jose, she's flyin' mucho bien....let's load up the weed and make the run!"

  • Looks like a less than half a ton plane, and the engine sounds like a 2 strokes of maybe only 60 hp.

  • They're not crazy, the airplanes STOL are crazy lol

    Greetings!

  • Is that aircraft stock? And what is it?

  • @thedreamliner2012 Looks like a Tecnam Eagle LSA but Paradise and Jabiru also have aircraft that look very similar

  • @thedreamliner2012 Just watched closer, its a tecnam eagle P-92

  • Tailstrike at 3:16?

  • He isn't a crazy pilot, he's a well skilled pilot.

  • I can takeoff like him but i can land on just 4m

  • @glavonjagrob Hi, I would like to watch you taking off in that distance. I think you could do it if the front wind is at about 60 mph, by this way, the wind will takie you off. I'll watch your vids later. Thanks.

  • @64jorthom OK! The take off on 20m is not that complicated...but i can land on just 4 m!

  • good Pilot

  • the headwind must be high

  • @mrcheuk40 yes but also this plane is capable of taking off in 100 meter without winds..

  • @mrcheuk40 Look at that windsock at the beggining. It's almost fully inflated, which, depending on type, can indicate +20 kts. Judging by the quick takeoff, I would say the head wind was 20 to 25 kts with gust up to 30. Hell, just about any small plane could accomplish a STOL.

  • The airplane has a very low take off speed that's all. It would be shorter, if the pilot would hold the brakes, apply full power, keep full power for a few seconds and then release the brakes.

  • thats not a plane! thats a kite on wheels SHAPED like a plane lol. an elephant's sneeze would create enough lift for that thing to fly lol.

  • @slowpoke96Z28 I was thinking it's more like a tricycle with wings and a propeller. :)

  • Plane? Ultra light.

  • I could use a man like this for my Colombian import export business, do you know your way to Florida from Columbia?

  • @larsonb33 ...Im the man!

  • @larsonb33 Ahahaha.

  • @larsonb33 HA !!

  • @larsonb33 To funny!!

  • @larsonb33 cocaine? lol

  • STOVL attempt?

  • Or, as they call this in Alaska, "Tuesday."

  • :o

  • Light wing loading, good airfoil design, lots of power, and a good pilot. The parking lot takeoff is my favorite. He's up in about 4 car widths! Amazing.

  • And I thought a C150 was small.

  • you all guys know that he has a short takeoff because his flaps are down , and the engine pressure of the plane is on his max??

  • L I G H T W E I G H T

  • impresionante viento a contra

  • Tecnam’s are shit.

  • Nice flying skills. He's living my dream to have my own plane and airport and fly when and how I want too. Thanks for sharing.

  • Some pretty impressive skills there! A good watch for sure.

  • i'm sure you could fit that plane on the roof of the house

  • There is a lot of headwind.........

  • Very impressive!!!

  • I'm impressed. I noticed there's a wall across the threshold? That's scary.

  • good coordination u have ' hand and eye..

  • ol planeking6 has 2 top comments .. lets chance that for noW! :D

  • não ha voltas apertadas antes dos 400 pes depois elas acontecem. bons voos mas respeite a maquina.

  • this is a toy

  • i bet he somehow certified his driveway as a very small airport and keeps the plane in his garage xD

  • Light plane+big engine+decent prop+ground effect=very low takeoff speed.

Notice he wasn't to eager to climb lol

  • Approach and landing without flaps? this dude is fucking crazy!

  • @master117gta He does have his flaps down - not much flap for sure, but it's there.

  • @aussiebug1970 Yes I just realize haha, but it's still amazing :)

  • 94 people were expecting and drunk and out of control pilot seeing the title "crazy pilot ....."

  • I could takeoff with that plane in my backyard

  • whats the stall speed? 10 kts?

  • @qantas737800 took a look at wikipedia, it's actually 33kts (!)

  • He took off so fast because It is such a light plane... It only has one guy in it...

  • I prefer to get off the ground faster than that.

  • and now: a engine failure :-s :D

  • Youll never get to try that in a simulator...

  • Crazy italians. !!!!

  • @TheJonfowy They are Portuguese idiot!

  • He has done this once or twice before hasn't he?!

  • Damn good thing the wind is blowing like Hell.

  • how much head wind? 25-30kts?

  • Is it my impression or did he engage reverse thrust BEFORE touching the ground? Another question, does this plane even have a reverser?

  • @BadNiedernauer no reverser, its just a piston! thats just the prop rpm change you can hear when he cuts power.

  • What make and model plane is that?

  • wow a homemade runway nice

  • anyone can take off like this if the head wind is strong! Its about lift not runway!

  • @1216saab Finally some one that understands!! looks like cool fun though!!

  • i can land in the back of the truck by crashing into it :D

  • Beautiful little fun bird. You could find a parking space and just land and grab it.

  • Zodiacs do this all of the time...

  • ANTI WASTE OF TIME SYSTEM

    1:55 FIRST TAKEOFF

    2:45 FIRST LANDING

    3:00 SECOND LANDING

    3:30 SECOND TAKEOFF

    4:20 FINAL LANDING

  • @planeking6 thank you sir

  • @planeking6 so cleverly done and lmao!

  • @planeking6 thankyou man .. there is no sense to see how this guy gets on the plane and take his coffe befor takeoff

  • @planeking6 Greatest youtube innovation ever. Every video should have one ;)

  • so i could do that in my backyard...

  • Its all about headwind!

  • @1216saab still just a reg

  • What kind of license you need to fly this baby? A fixed wing PPL or a helicopter license? :-)

  • @tiredlight ha

  • Portuguese in action! I'm proud of being portuguese!

  • um.............HOLY SHIT!!!

  • I'm getting to cry. I learnt to fly upon my father's P92 Echo. How many wonderful memories...

Yes! The Tecnam P 92 takes off in few meeters!!! It's an adorable and very fluid aircraft. Love it.

  • @accuruneide I would like to know how fast this aircraft can get?

  • @r472ricardo well VNE is estimated around 220-250 Km/h, cruise between 120 and 160 Km/h (P92 with engine Rotax 912).

  • Comment removed

  • This tiny plane must have major problems in wind, it's waaay too light for a plane

  • RIP Leslie. He died trying to take off on a 1.3m runway last week.

  • @bored1980 that man died? When?

  • Well, this aircraft is a VLA, with very high lift. And, moreover the wind is very strong (at least 30 kts accordingly to the wind-sock) and it may have used the ground effect, so no wonder he took off that short.

    Still it's amazing to watch.

  • paper airplanes need to go faster than that not to stall

  • oh man!

  • Get up, get up and get down! Jump around!

  • he used ground effect to get the plane up to speed after low rotation speed

  • Show...Show...

  • What was the headwind that day?

  • To the right of this chat box it says "your reaction" What was yours at 4:24?quick duck to the ground, lol. Looks like a close wing/head tappin pass, lol.

  • great vid!!

  • reminds me of gta sanandreas....

  • Can i try it with a 747 at the same runway ?? ,

    LOL P.S. Great video (Y)

  • amazing! good job man! that's real STOL! tomorrow i will check it out with my C-172 :-)))

  • what plane is it ?

  • @navistars It's a TECNAM P92 ECHO SUPER with a ROTAX engine (912 or 914)

  • whta plane is it ?

  • muito bom... mas o vento deu uma ajudinha né !...

  • This one could land in my backyard

  • Stall speed's probably around 35 kts, but look at that windsock. He had 15 kts of airspeed before he even started rolling.

  • That's not a runway, it's a driveway.

  • @planeking6 that's not a driveway, that's a backyard..

  • is good for internacional cocaine trafic

  • drug runner ...

  • At 4:25 I thought he was going to get knocked over!

  • 0-60 knots 1.5 seconds lol thumbs up!

  • Hey ! the pilot isn't crazy, He did his job.....

  • Why did he land that far down the runway?

  • legal.. tem que ser bom pra pousar em pista assim.... abraços

  • Not that impressive, The aircraft has an aprox 40 Knot takeoff speed.. so in a 20 to 30 knot headwind this is very doable and easy. Looks like a riot though! great for training.

  • Is there a pitch control on the prop? Or are they fixed and no feather? He seems to lose speed on landing pretty fast!

  • @azzy314159 because he's in a huge headwind.

  • He keeps flirting with undershooting this approach.

  • @CalebFilmsPresent It's a Tencam P92.

  • what is this aircraft?

  • i bet with two people i wouldnt perform like this, but is good for who one wants to feel power and have some emotions, and about the weather, is getting worse, there´s coming a cold front.

  • that runway definitley isnt 20 meters

  • How much Headwind?

  • it must have been also in a nice headwind.. (over 15kts, judging by the windsock at 0:13 ?)

  • Comment removed

  • I have about 8hrs logged in a P92. Its an awesome little plane. The climb and performance of it is amazing. Dual throttles just sweetens the deal. The only qualm I had with it was lack of a stall horn and pretty bad stall characteristics.

  • tht runyway is 20m

  • Now THATS what I call a quick getaway!!

  • it's to light of bi-plane. this plane is about 500lbs with the thrust, the plane is light.

  • Sooooo craaaazy.....
