I read this ad campaign wasn't successful in Japan.

#1 The song did not translate well into Japanese.

#2 Japanese people are not familiar with what raisins look or taste like.

#3 The raisin characters were missing a finger, which is sometimes a sign of membership into the Japanese mafia (Yakuza).

@2MKcreations no, I didn't. They animated the Raisins in the late 80's/early 90's before I started working at the studio.
