  • Chuck Norris' baby rattle.

  • Thethe workerth don't do a lot of work, they're all lathey.

  • The picture looks like he's using his teeth with the lathe :P

  • I could use a machine like that. I need to fix my watch.

  • hahah how did i guess that was a part of an elecric motor

    lucky guess

but thats cool... and they do make macrometers that big... takes like 3 guys to use the thing

  • i wanna see the indicator they use to true this thing up and for that matter the mag base too lmao if its anything like the machine youd need a crane to move it ......(by the way this is sarcasm just in case anyone doesnt get it)

  • @eric78900 You couldnt mount it in a vertical, it has a shaft either end.

  • Being a Skoda, it will be a good 'un. The Czechs make nice machine tools

  • I ran a lathe that was used to make shafts used in presses in a Steel Mill. Once you set you tool to cut then you rode along with it all the way down. It took over 3 hours to make a pass. I also bored a hole in a giant universal coupling that was so big when it was finished I walked through the hole without bending my head down. The part weighed 3,1/2 tons.

  • ive seen bigger in my pants :)

  • the big torno

  • ale tokara.

  • hi John

    You got a great job

Are you happy with your Škoda lathe?

    Greetings from czech republic :-)

  • he almost tripped. woulda been squashed

  • loco sem nenhum EPI com carao na frente da maquina

imagino quantos acidentes tem nessa empresa

  • thats one big lathe. thanks for sharing

  • anybody have any idea of the cutting speed seen here?

  • @ydna2 looks like about 10rpm- 5ft diameter approx. 5Xpi=approx 15.5. so about 155sfm.

  • can you make me some chess pieces?

  • I know biger ones. 250cm maximum diameter. and teh bed is seperate from the Machine gear.

  • jesus, i was in a vo tech high school machine shop the machines there are tiny im not used to huge ass lathes like that

  • haha, sorry to start the chicken debate, but where do you think the vice for that lathe was lathed.

  • QUE TAL CUCHILLON DEBE DE SER Y CARBURADA YA ME IMAGINO DEBE VALER UN BILLETON

  • "Truing up the headstock bearing for the REALLY big lathe out back"

  • That looks to me like a rotor... I have turned plenty of those...

  • big man medium lathe

  • I would use a right handed tool, upside down, and spin that chuck the other way.

  • @rtm143188. Yep, just a little closer and he'll be the star of the movie at our next safety meeting.

  • got your face a little close there dont ya think?

  • @rtm143188 it's a lathe not a shark...

  • BIG IS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

  • I have a lathe bigger than that at home.I use it to make watches.

  • In original, it is Škoda, not Skoda. Word Škoda is in English damage, or wrong.

  • @Phaare who the fuck cares??

  • Please, speak like intelligent person :)

  • He's right...it means shame, damage or pity.

  • Didnt Skoda used to make cars in Eastern Europe. I think my dad owend one, back in like 1968 ?

  • @jd426999 Yes, by now Škoda make cars. Export is now for West Europe. We have Škoda car now too.

  • @jd426999 they still make cars now under Volkswagen ownership

  • wow big lathe,,,

use train metal wheel or else

  • Damn, how much do you think that chuck weighs?

  • the one i have in my house is way bigger

  • Haha! is fully because building is bigger than house and he no fit big lathe in house smaller than building! Yes!

  • hahahaha is funny because it from family guy. yes?

  • what is use for

  • anything you want to use it for

  • looks like u need a big micrometer!!!! lol

  • Wouldn't you need a macrometer?

  • @bushputz you do that before you start cutting

  • @bushputz they would use a gigantic vernier

  • @bushputz a macrometer

  • @attainableapex I think he meant Micrometer

  • @bushputz

Micrometers that size do exist, although I think they would use stationary gauging and measure the radius of the rotor.

  • How high is the middle of that machine?!

  • I think he's machining a motor shaft. And personally I've see bigger lathes. Where was that lathe made?

  • Accually. he's machining the lamination of the electric motor rotor. The rotor was rebuilt with new lamination and rotor bars and end rings. The Skoda was made in Chech-Republic.

  • @JohnScottV in Czech Republic (search for Skoda automobile)

  • Wow that is a big lathe, thanks for posting...
