I can't wait to get a pipa! This has been one of my favourite songs (Moonlit Flowers by the Spring River) I first heard it on the Guzheng.

I don't play the pipa, I am a flute player and the story goes that I was at his the famous Lin Ku Jen's (leader of the Chinese Symphony Orchestra) shop in Taipei which is also a music school, Lydia yes age 42 believe it or not was one of the theachers there, she happily played me this song when I asked her if she would, it took her 15 minutes just to tape the plectrums to her hands...She told me she has played since she was nine and is a senior member of the orchestra if I remember correctly....

i absolutely want to lern how to play it, but as long there's no teacher around me i have to learn it by myself =/

i guess i'll just try to play it, maybe some easy songs first, then watch the many many pipa-vids on youtube and try to play along ^^
