  • Thank you because im left handed and its so hard for me to learn to crochet.

  • omg thaank you so much im left handed and have lots of trouble with corcheying im starting to learn and all the videos are right handed so its super hard for me please make more videos

  • @bravoameliabedelia I will send you the beginner playlist for the lefty.

  • which video do you watch after learning to make the chain??

  • Thank you so much, if it wasn't for you i surely would have failed my Crafts class, haha. Again, thank you! (:

  • @poser612 You are welcome

  • im a southpaw and this made things so easy thank u very much! ! :)

  • Thank you so much for doing the southpaw tutorials!! My daughter is a southpaw and watched me crochet, being a righty it was hard to teach her so this makes it MUCH easier for her to learn!!

  • @TIsbell68 I am happy to make them and thrilled to hear your daughter is learning.

  • To jessup wendy, People think it is easy to be a lefty. Generally, it is,accept when it comes to certain craftwork. That is where you tube has become my guide. Have a good night. Thanks for dropping me a line.....Kathy.

  • ty so much what a HUGE help!!!

  • Thank you so much. The books I bought just did not help. I will be coming back,, as I have an afghan I want to make. You are great!!!

  • @091Katt Thank you! I have a playlist with the left hand crochet tutorials

  • Thank you so much. The books I bought just did not help. I will be coming back,, as I have an afghan I want to make.

  • @091Katt I totally agree with u, the books were a joke!!!!! this helped so much!!

  • As most have said, thank you so much for posting this video. I am sick of people just telling me to learn things right-handed. Most of us lefties are already able to use our right hands for things, but it's not like we should be forced to. I nearly gave up trying to learn how to crochet, so thank you!

  • @cooldara You are welcome! What you mentioned is one of the reasons I started the left hand crochet series.

  • @cooldara I almost resorted to trying to learn right handed, but my right hand is weaker... it's still tired, and that was an hour ago. I'm glad these tutorials are up :)

  • thatnk you!!!!

  • I am a happy lefty crochet user:)

  • @DORAMARIE You will find a lefty playlist on my main channel page with over 100 crochet tutorials for the left hand crocheter

  • @tjw1963 Tks for the infos!

  • I have no paicents at all, and I was able to do this so well, you made it so much easier for me. I'm only 13 years old and I can now crochet. Thank you! :)

  • @Elleyroberts Keep practicing and you will continue learning crochet. Along with crochet, you do learn patients as well.

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I've been told it's "right handed or not at all." I really appreciate your help.

  • @BillBusdriver It is for left hand people as well! I do have a playlist with over 100 videos for the lefty. I will send it to you.

  • really awsome thats there videos like this my granny s right handed and im left handed so her teaching me really hasnt been workin out thnx :)

  • @alitadsj44 I have a playlist on my main channel that will give you a lot of left hand crochet videos.

  • i hope u realize that u r pretty much my hero right now!!! i bought a video to help me learn and the first thing the woman says is that left handed people should use their right hand to do these stitches. why must the right handers try to change us!! :(

  • @mercedesyay Left handed people should not have to use their right hand. That is the reason I provide video for left and right handed people. I appreciate your comment, thank you! I have recently made new tutorials and uploaded them on my second crochet channel. There is a lot of slow motion.

  • Le-sigh...this is a magic I just don't understand. I had these wonderful inspiration of at least crocheting a coaster or something. After three hours, I haven't even managed to get -one- chain stitch. Perhaps some people just can't do it, eh? But it's a wonderfully-done video, thank you for posting it!

  • @TheDeathBunnie Keep practicing and you will get it. I have found that when I find a part of crochet frustrating, I stop for a few hours or even a few days. Most likely it will make more sense at a later time.

  • thanks for posting this is good stuff.

  • @1Mikissa Thank you.

  • im left handed i knit with my left but when i crochet for me its easier with my rught hand !!!!!!!!

  • @kawaiiushii or maybe because i dnt have a big crochet hook that its hard for me?? i only have a 1.3mm crochet hook...too small for a beginner =.="

  • @kawaiiushii no it turned out that although im a left hender i cant crochet with it coz i dnt know how to hold the yarn with my right but i can crochet with it ( right) and im not liking it =.=" im a lefty so i should do it with my left not with my right >:'(

  • thanks a lot for posting this...i have been trying to do crochet for ages and being a left hander it is not easy to learn especially from the right handers...

  • @maylingkhoo You are welcome!

  • thank you so so much for posting this

my nan tried to show me this for AGES but as she's right handed i just got rather confused. :')

can't wait to move onto your other videos and learn the rest! :)

  • @JordanEliseWilson Thank you.

  • Thank you! I do not get it when rightys teach, hah!

  • Thank you so much for posting videos for left handers, I m left hended plus - beginner and your videoes inspire me to start:)

  • You are welcome. I wish you much more continued success with crochet.

  • Thank you so much, I was utterly confounded by the right handed directions!

  • You are welcome. :)

  • thanks. my 8 yr old sis was impossible to teach. i'm right handed. she's not. :( this is going to help soooooo much!

  • You are welcome.

  • THANKS SOOOOOOOO MUCH. Geez my gran was going NUTS litterally. "dang these left handers! i can't teach 'em nothing." was her exact words. cuz shes a right hander. :) but i luv her anyways....:) thanks a lot! now how do i start the second row?

  • You will chain 3, turn and then crochet in the top of each stitch. I like to go below both loops. You will find some instructions that tell you to go through 1. The loops I am talking about are the V-shapes at the top of each stitch when you look at the top of your stitch.

  • THANK YOU for making close-ups and slow enough that i can see it!!! now i am ready to try it.

  • You are welcome. :) Happy crocheting.

  • Its not really a flap, its more like at the point of joining everything is together but at the site of the joining it kind of looks like a v shape. If i crochet lets say 20 rows, when im at the last row everything is fine until im at the point of joining. Maybe because I'm a lefty?

  • I think what you are seeing is the seam. That happens when you join a hat on the rounds. The solution is to work in a continual round.

  • I have a pattern that states that I should work with 2 strands of yarn, not 2 different colors of yarn. How am I going to do that with one skein of yarn.? I find that if I use the other end it gets tangled. This pattern only said that i needed one skein of yarn. HELP!!

  • You can wind a ball of yarn until you think you have half of the skein on the ball.

  • Thnks I will try that. Another question for you. I follow ur examples to the T, or I believe that I do..lol. I find that when I'm making hats the part where i have to join as the pattern goes along end up being pointed. I have this huge flap at the end, what am I doing wrong?

  • I am not understanding what you mean by a flap.

  • I have been watching quite a few of your videos and they are very helpful but I have a question. I have been using the same yarn now practicing for a couple of days and now I can't seem to get the chain to look right with the same yarn. Do I need to cut some of the yarn that I have been practicing with and use a fresh untouched part or am I doing something wrong? My chain will not get tight for some reason. Please help. Thanks

  • If you are pretty new to crocheting, you are experiencing uneven tension. It will become consistent as you practice. You can cut off the yarn and start with a fresh piece. It will start to get worn if you use the same strand over and over.

  • thank you, being left handed has always been a frustration when wanting to learn crafts. your videos are great. I didn't know if you had a dvd for sale so that I could play it when I did not have access to the internet

  • You are welcome. I'm sorry but I do not have a DVD for sale.

  • wow, great video. two days of trying to read a how to book and i couln't do it. two minutes of watching this video and i got it down pretty quick!!! thanks!!!

  • You are welcome:)

  • This is a lifesaver--my mom has tried to teach me, but I'm left-handed. Finally, at 40 I'm learning to crochet and your videos really help! Thank you!

  • You are welcome. I appreciate your feedback and comments. :)

  • OMG! im the only male in my office and all the ladies were learning how to crochet. So naturally i wanted to get in on all the fun so i started one myself. I could do the chain poerfectly but could never get the first row until now. Thank you sooooooo much. being left handed really sucks sometimes. Thank you for making it easier.

  • You are welcome. I have all the basic stitches for lefties as well as the basic and solid granny square. If you click on my main channel page, you will see the lefty playlist on my main page.

  • thank you for showing left-handed crochet, my grandmothers both crocheted but one was a left-handed crocheted and other right-handed, i had learned how to crochet yrs ago, but forgot, thanks for reminding me how it's done.

    i'm left-handed but knit right-handed.

  • You are welcome. :)

  • thanks for posting this video! i was still trying to figure out how to do the slip knot. i am very visual so reading it in a crochet book was not making sense to me.

  • You are welcome. :)

  • Thank You SO much

  • You are welcome. :)

  • This is way so cool I have a daughter that is left handed I have been showing her how to crochet but right handed and she fights with crocheting because she is left handed. Thank you so much she is going to love this I will too even though I'm right handed. I have a 6 year old grand daughter that wonts to learn hopefully this will help teach her how to crochet. Thanks a bunch.

  • I have the same basic stitches on video for both right hand and left hand.

  • Do you often crochet with your left hand? If so, very talented!!

  • No, I don't crochet with my left hand at all.
