I have a lot of respect for the Bruins.. but hey, every team in the NHL does some sort of diving and embellishing, Milbury should show some class. Hard-fought series between two good teams, I am a Canucks fan, but in the end, the better team won.
This is Versus feed, not NBC... I switched from CBC to NBC because I found CBC extremely annoying...especially that stiff neck tight suit Craim Simpson and his anti-Canuck rhetoric comment.
@conservativeco Read my comment again... it has nothing to do with cable affiliation. I just voiced my displeasure about our own Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (run with our tax money) smack talking a Canadian team over Bruins.
The fact IS...the CANUCKS ARE....1) smug....2) finger biters....3) cheap shot artist....4) arrogant........every hockey fan knows this now....what a poor charactor team they are.....Milbury steps up to the plate because evryone else wants to be politically correct....in hockey !! Milbury would beat down Burrows outside the rink !!
Fact is, you have a clue what you are talking about. i played junior, have been a hockey fan for forty years, and i assure you that the Canucks would like nothing better than to play a clean series, because they are not as tough as Boston...
I would prefer that they could slug it out with them in the trenches, but they chose to build a fast, highly skilled team. They are not dirty. They used to be more so with the likes of Odjick and Bertuzzi, but those days are gone.
@MsPlywood Vancouver Canucks, The team people love to hate. You been watching the Mavs or Jays for the first four games or what? Vancouver brought they're aggressive A game for games 1 and 2. After Rome knocked Horton the fuck out they pulled they're physical game back and ended up being trounced by Boston for it. Compare this to round 1 vs Chicago where we tossed a 3-0 series lead after Torres messed up Seabrook. Vancouver is everybit as tough as Boston, It's a good series, you should watch it.
I know Milbury is pretending to be the Boston coach, but he just loves this role a little bit too much. It's painful to watch a broadcaster be so biased during a game. If you root for their team, you don't notice it. But when you root for the other team, it is a very painful broadcast to listen to. This is usually why stations try to hire broadcasters who can at least tone down their bias. Imagine watching a national broadcast and having a commentator call the Bruins smug and arrogant.
Yea, he's speaking in character there... Anyways, Mike does work for NESN when he's not on assignment for HNIC, NBC, or Versus and he has NEVER hesitated to rip the bruins in front of the locals (to the point of it being awkward for the rest of the panel.. ).
Milbury calls em like he sees him. Relax, "conservativeco"
@rockysrevival He always shows tremendous bias towards the Bruins. Just look at how he spent every five seconds in game 2 whining about Burrow's "bite." Keith Jones was just "speaking in charecter," in fact almost every time you hear people "speaking in charecter" they don't say obscenely biased things like that.
Milbury's such a biased prick that in 2009 in the Caps/Pens series he said that Wash fans "hate us" (him, Peirre McGuire and Keith Jones) for their bias toward Criesby and the Pens.

@ShamsherKhan82 Genius, who owns Versus? NBC Universal. Versus is the cable sports affiliate of NBC as ESPN is for ABC.

@TheNightseagull The Bruins fans are 1) smug 2) whiners 3) fit-throwers 4) braggers even though they're still down 2-0.
I'll give you two options:
1) Shut up because you're embarrassing yourself
2) Shut up and go back to taking your psychotrophic drugs.
