Hey Marinda, I am actually doing pretty well and have started pushing myself a little harder in the last couple of weeks. I am lifting but not near as heavy as before... but I will not give up. I am actually only about 5 pounds away from my goal weight, yea. Rita is almost at her goal weight also. I am so proud of both of us...I hope you are enjoying your life in California and I pray you life gets less hectic :)

@myacus Where in Canada are you? We were in Ottawa, Ontario. We had 3 really bad years with horrible summers and winter and my doctor told me before we left that we are very smart. He said the suicide rate had gone up each year with the bad summers we've had, and more people end up in loony bins and on antidepressents than he has ever seen in all his 23 years in Canada.
I really want to try one and I think I'm now convinced to do it. Have you tried it on your bikini line at all? Also, what about trying some numbing gel before using it? I haven't tried that but was going to the next time I get a wax, so that might help you. Thanks for the awesome review! :)
@jjdanca18 I don't have bikini hair gorgeous. I actually had brazillian lazer treatments done many years ago. I have a couple of hairs that did not have neough color pigment in them to get targeted by the lazer, but I just tweeze those out when I see one. I can not imagine that area....holy shit the mere thought makes me want to pee my pants! A friend told me afterwards, she used numbing cream and it worked:)

@hipretty You never know. I think it is possible that I had some weird psycosis, because I can not imagine if I had to repeat that little "spectacle" that I would be able to do it again, hahaha
When I first started using an epilator, I used one of those hair removal creams a day before to remove some of the hair and soften anything else. I then exfoliated and used a lidocaine cream. Works quite well! I mostly use my epilator on my underarms, and I still follow that process. The cream I use is called magic, and it's formulated for black men, and it's amazing!!!
@yoyocanary for real? Wow, I know a friend of mine used lidocaine cream too, but I didn't even think of that. I guess I was just in "CRAZEEEE" mode or something. I can't use hair removal creams. They literally burn my skin off. It is like I have some allergy to it. Tried the mildest ones I could find, and couldn't even leave it on for a minute. Got a couple blisters.... no fun at all:(
So glad to see you back!!! Have this, used it, no one in my family ever messes with me anymore. If you can use this, you win!! I now am having laser done, never even flinch, it tickles compares to this thing, but it does do a great job. Hope to see you agin soon (& Gina too of course!)

If I have to choose between lazering my legs and getting my botox, I think I'd rather stick with the botox, LOL. But hun, good for you for doing that. @nuts4clara Holy crap Dario, it is easy for YOU to say. You are not the one that spends literally hours a week shaving your legs, LOL. No hun, an epilator is definitely NOT like a shaver. shaving is not painful, it just cuts the hair short. Epilating actually rips the hair out of the folicle and your legs stay smooth for more than a week at a time.

God, I could never epilate! I'm glad my hair is light and baby-fine; I shave my legs, like, once a month because I enjoy the feeling of freshly-shaved legs. You can't tell I even have hair. (Cruel thing to say to people with dark hair, I know, but hey, the hair on my head sucks, so it evens out!) I'd consider shaving my bikini line, but the ingrowns? URGH. Does this shaver give Johan ingrowns?

When she started it she would put a topical anesthetic that you can buy from the farmacy on her legs for 20 minutes then wash it off right before she starts, and she said that really helped her. I can't say since I haven't tried, but if you do, let me know if it works:)

@curiouskittyhere Hey you!!! Interesting info, the Israel thing... hmmm. No hun, you have to remember, it is EXTREMELY important to exfoliate your skin when you do ANY form of hair removal by which the hairs get removed from the folicle. If you don't esfoliate, you WILL always get ingrown hairs. Let me know how it goes.

Hey Marinda, I am actually doing pretty well and have started pushing myself a little harder in the last couple of weeks. I am lifting but not near as heavy as before... but I will not give up. I am actually only about 5 pounds away from my goal weight, yea. Rita is almost at her goal weight also. I am so proud of both of us...I hope you are enjoying your life in California and I pray you life gets less hectic :)

He said the suicide rate had gone up each year with the bad summers we've had, and more people end up in loony bins and on antidepressents than he has ever seen in all his 23 years in Canada.

@jjdanca18 I don't have bikini hair gorgeous. I actually had brazillian lazer treatments done many years ago. I have a couple of hairs that did not have neough color pigment in them to get targeted by the lazer, but I just tweeze those out when I see one. I can not imagine that area....holy shit the mere thought makes me want to pee my pants! A friend told me afterwards, she used numbing cream and it worked:)

When I first started using an epilator, I used one of those hair removal creams a day before to remove some of the hair and soften anything else. I then exfoliated and used a lidocaine cream. Works quite well! I mostly use my epilator on my underarms, and I still follow that process. The cream I use is called magic, and it's formulated for black men, and it's amazing!!!

They literally burn my skin off. It is like I have some allergy to it. Tried the mildest ones I could find, and couldn't even leave it on for a minute. Got a couple blisters.... no fun at all:(

No hun, an epilator is definitely NOT like a shaver. shaving is not painful, it just cuts the hair short. Epilating actually rips the hair out of the folicle and your legs stay smooth for more than a week at a time.

God, I could never epilate! I'm glad my hair is light and baby-fine; I shave my legs, like, once a month because I enjoy the feeling of freshly-shaved legs. You can't tell I even have hair. (Cruel thing to say to people with dark hair, I know, but hey, the hair on my head sucks, so it evens out!) I'd consider shaving my bikini line, but the ingrowns? URGH. Does this shaver give Johan ingrowns?

When she started it she would put a topical anesthetic that you can buy from the farmacy on her legs for 20 minutes then wash it off right before she starts, and she said that really helped her. I can't say since I haven't tried, but if you do, let me know if it works:)

No hun, you have to remember, it is EXTREMELY important to exfoliate your skin when you do ANY form of hair removal by which the hairs get removed from the folicle. If you don't esfoliate, you WILL always get ingrown hairs. Let me know how it goes.

Hey Marinda! Welcome back! Damn that thing sounds painful! I love the idea of the hairs growing back lighter though. I tried waxing... one time.... worst experience EVER! I left it on too long and it actually pulled the skin off and had raw underarms for like a week!
