Whatever, I agree with your reply. Too many pianos end up in bonfires, or in piano-smashing events of various kinds. You only have to look at the pages of EBay to see how little many pianos are practically given away.
And not many people realise that at at one time, most pianos sold were fitted with roll-player mechanisms of one kind or another.
Not sure what you mean by your comment. I'm not much for the O-roll machines in personal preference, (Greatly prefer A or G roll pianos) but what is wrong with getting an old piano that might otherwise get a lesser fate and retrofitting it with nickelodeon components? It has the possibility to entertain many hundreds of people; how many regular home pianos can that be said about?
