  • (No disrespect) I'm going to have to disagree I like Young Justice more than the avengers part of it comes from the animation. But if AEMH had United they stand animation then I'll watch it more.I guess I like Young Justice more because I can get into it more than AEMH.

  • i haven't seen this show, but it looks more like they should've called it Avengers 2099.

  • Even those this Cartoon was bad it's not as bad as The new Avengers cartoon I'd rather watch this one than that one.

  • @Optimus313 Nah... This B team stuff is terrible lol

  • @alexcage08 Lol yea true but marvel didn't really have good cartoon. In fact the only good Marvel Cartoons was the Fox kids X men and spiderman all the rest was garbage lol

  • @Optimus313 Earths Mightiest Heroes is great in my opinion (and in the opinions of most Avengers fans) it's certainly sar superior to this. X-men evolution started crap but eventualy became decent. Spectacular Spider-man was great. Wolverine and The X-men wasnt to impresive but they get bonus points for trying to tell a mature stroy.

  • @TeamTowers1 Well that's your opinion and it's cool I didn't like that X men Evolution at first as well but it grew on me I mean I still don't like but it was okay to watch farther into the series. But the 90's fox kids X men is always going to be great in my eyes.I agree with you on the more mature part of wolverine and the X men.Spectacular spider man was okay they did venom right in this series just like the old 90's fox kids version.

  • @Optimus313 I think the bigest problem is being 90's kids we look back on the 90's through nostalgia goggles and we kind of veiw them as being perfect when they werent. Dont get me wrong the 90's Spider-man and X-men are great but looking back on them they realy havnt aged well mostly due to the animation quality. I will say one thing the modern X-men cartoons have over the 90's one is the Sentinals actualy being threatening.

  • @TeamTowers1 That's true I agree with you one that the do have animation style over the 90's cartoons. But I think the stories are better than the newer ones not taking anything away from X men Evolution and the future Marvel cartoons. You know speaking of the sentinals I liked the ones in Wolverine and the X men because they looked threatening and like the 90's x men.I mean did you see those ugly looking things from X men Evolution. LOL The 90's ones look like a big huge Iron man.

  • @Optimus313 It was realy imposible to take the 90's sentinals seriosly though because most of the time they came off as bunch of incompitent buffoons. The point when one of took it's self out by runing into a wall while chasing Jubilee pretty much solidified them as a joke. The 90's show had better story's but I will give Wolverine and The X-men credit for having the best voice actors.

  • @TeamTowers1 Yea I agree they had the better voice actors. Those Iron man looking robots did seem like a joke and not to mention easily broken but they came in deep like a swarm. This may seem weird but I would like to see the 90's X men Rebooted with brand new Art and animation and that classic music lol.I know they have up to date X men cartoons but again I would like to see the 90's X men return. That's just my POV.

  • @Optimus313 Marvel loves there alternate universes so maby they could have a crossover with the different versions of the animated X-men. Inturestingly despite Earths mightiest heroes focussing on the origional Avengers it does feature alot from this show (especialy by the looks of season2)

  • @TeamTowers1 Yea that they do I completely agree they do I mean they did that with ninja turtles in that one movie turtles forever taking the old Ninja Turtles with the up to date ones.Even though they completely made fun of the Turtles that I grew up with. But they could have made a crossover would be nice to see.I guess I have to check out season 2 of Earths mightiest heroes. You know that's the only reason I watch this avengers because of the cool armor and the way it came on them.

  • @Optimus313 I actualy like armor but never realy made sense for Avengers to have it to me I mean people who already have super powers realy dont need armor. Maby it's just because it isnt realy a very super heroe like thing to do (unless your someone like Iron Man).

  • @TeamTowers1 Yea true but I thought it was cool and well to me the only one that should have armor is Hawkeye due to the fact that he have no super powers.I guess they want that extra protection even with super powers lol you never know.Have you seen any preview for the avengers movie?I like the back and forth that Captain america and Tony Stark do.

  • @Optimus313 Yeah I tought the back and forth was pretty good. I wonder if there gonna bring up the fact Cap was friends with Tony's dad.

  • @TeamTowers1 If I was Tony Stark I wouldn't mess with cap because all Cap have to do is Rip that thing outta his chest and all that money and smarts don't mean nothing lol

  • @Optimus313 If there's one thing to remember about these two Tony is a cocky prick (but a likeable one) and Cap is to nice a guy to ever do that.

Of course if they ever do fight they would end up acting like a couple who had a nasty break up if you go by civil war

  • @TeamTowers1 Got the cocky prick part right that is a big hell yea on that point.I know Cap is a really nice guy to do anything like that but if I had something in my chest that keep me alive I wouldn't mouth off to anyone that can just rip it out you know lol.Oh and I saw when Cap beat Tony's ass in Earth mightiest heroes in that boxing ring lol

  • @Optimus313 I will say I like Earth's Mightiest Heroes alot more than Young Justice right know. It's funny because before both shows came out everyone including me thought YJ would blow AEMH out of the water.

  • @Optimus313 I will explain why I like Earth's Mightiest Heroes since it's kind of becoame my favourite marvel cartoon. Ile start by saying the art style is a bit off puting but the animation is decent and I like most the character designs. What I realy liked was how they had a hole lot of story arce going on at once and managed to intertwine them with through out the season I mean practicaly every episode advanced one of the story lines and everthing had a set up and pay off.

  • @TeamTowers1 Oh okay I respect that the arcs was cool and how they brought then together into one.I liked the armor thing in this one but earth mightiest heroes did go back to the original Avengers I give it that.So I guess you can't wait until the movie huh I can't wait either. But for the hulk I would have liked to see the Eric bana who played Bruce banner in the first hulk movie.I just want to go see Captain America that movie was one of the best if not the only good marvel movie

  • @Optimus313 Yeah I am looking forwood to the Avengers movie. There's no way Marvel would put this much work into the hole thing (building it up through five different films) and fail after coming this far

  • @Optimus313 I also think people overloock when it comes to good marvel cartoons was the second season's of the 90's Iron Man and Fantastic Four cartoons. I think its because everyone mostly remembers there god awful first seasons.

  • @TeamTowers1 It's funny that you said that because I'm sorry the fantastic four wasn't that good to me neither was the hulk and most definitly was Silver Surfer.Iron man was okay like you said later in season 2 but one was really bad

  • @TeamTowers1 Also the Anime Version of the X men is good from what I seen of it so far.

  • I totally forgot about this show!

  • WOW ... Another Avengers? GOTTA WATCH!

  • What's with the unnecessary armor? I could barely recognise them lol.

  • This started the fall of FoxKids...and I do recall a lot of Avenger fans cussing out this series. Yeesh.

  • gotta love how the big 3 are in at the end at the last possible second. "Hey, we are in avengers too! don't forget us!" It was deceitful things like that last second that made me watch waiting for those 3.

  • Wow, getting dressed in the morning has never been so awesome....

  • I liked this show. It combined second-string Avengers with a sort of Kamen Rider aesthetic, thus combining two things I like a great deal.

Hey, I may be a fan, but I am rarely a purist.

  • An Avengers with no Captain America, Ironman, or Thor?...In the words of the internet, "Fail!"

  • One thing I find odd is the fact before this series, most of Marvel's 90's cartoons crossovered with one another. Spiderman teamed up with the X-men, IronMan, and the Fantastic 4 on several occasions in the animated series. So why couldn't they just make the avengers with the pre-existing Marvel shows?

  • @BBmetalhead04 There was going to be a season 2 of the Avengers. It was already storyboarded and writtin out that they were going to meet up with the X-Men for a three-part episode, but then the plug got pulled on the entire show.

  • @TSEpictures

Ironic considering Lenore Zann plays both Rogue and Tigra...lol

  • @ZECTCustomUnit lol, that kind of trend is popular though, even then.

  • this is shitty version of Avengers. The earth mightiest heroes is way better than this...

at least there's normal Ant-man, Wasp,Cpt.America,Iron man,Hulk.Thor... and sometimes Black panther...

  • AVENGERS!

...oh yeah and Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor....

    AVENGERS!

  • dcau is better than mau

  • didn't this one last the least or would that have been silver surfer

  • This show wasnt good by anny stretch of the imagination but it's nowhere near as awful as everyone makes it out to be.

I also liked wasps non armor design.

  • I look at Ant Man, Wasp and Hawkeye and all i can say is: Super Sentai Armor Up Sequence GO!!!

  • I guess flashy armor transformations was the craze of those days.

  • was it a mistake not to put the holy trinity with titles?

  • Great theme, but the show itself... Was pretty bad.

  • They didn't include the big 3 because they wanted to show lesser known or unused Avengers. Falcon, Tigra, Wonder Man, and the Scarlet Witch had a off again on again time on the team.

  • song name?¿?¿'¡

  • avengers should've been epic, but it was so bad that i don't even think the big three as main characters could've saved it. one of the most missed opportunities in cartoon history. just bad... :(

  • I remember not liking this show because none of the more well known characters were on the team.... I always liked the intro though, especially when they show Cap, Thor and Iron Man.

  • avergas

  • There was an Avengers cartoon? And why are they all in Iron man type armor?

  • Admittedly, the theme music is catchy in the intro, but yeah, the cartoon is crap, pure and simple.

  • Cap, Thor and Iron Man all made appearances later on in the show, but they were not part of the official roster.

They did drop the ball on that one.

  • Yeah... In the comics, around the time that Doomsday killed Superman, the Justice League comprised of B-Team members, all of the major well known characters weren't even a part of the group. I totally agree, this was a horrible idea...

  • @paradoxdreamer5

Doomsday killed ..Superman?..err, for a moments I read it spaderman, not superman..the thng is I didn't read the comics, just what the chanel in my country showed.

Superman (well, to be honest, I don't remember actually seing the series but it's SUPERMAn. Everyone knows superman), spaderman, betman, avangers, League of justice...

So when the hell did superman died?O_o

  • @NorthernShinigami Superman died in the comics in 1992, it was a major event that anyone who read comics during that time knew about it. They recently, relatively speaking, came out with a straight to DVD shortened version of the story called Doomsday, which was terrible. Horrible version of the comic story. It cut out so much it weakened the storyline so much it just lost the impact of the original.

  • So...they made an Avengers TV show, without Captain America, Iron Man and Thor (or The Hulk for that matter)? Isn't that like making a Justice League show with out Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman? Weird.

  • Ugh! This snow was garbage. I think they tried to bank off the success of x men but failed on epic proportions.

  • Cool song....terrible visuals

  • The show as based not on the big name members but the smaller name members who made the up team. It's more about the heroes who's names where made by the Avengers.

  • Why does Hawkeye look like Shaft from Youngblood? And seriously, not even Captain America? I can accept Iron Man being gone, he had his own cartoon, but Cap didn't have one, just sporadic appearances in Spider-Man, and Thor just plain got left out.

  • i bet that happens beacuse of money and copyrights! i bet my ass!

cap is too damn valuable know what i mean!!

  • Anyone remember the toy line?

  • Ok,so let me get this straight:They made an Avengers cartoon and left out all the cool members like Captain America,Iron Man,and Thor, who were in fact founding members of the team? Can any one else say epic fail?Stupid people, just stupid!

  • Oh man this show was bad. How do you have an Avengers cartoon and NOT include Captain America, Iron Man, or Thor?

  • captain america thor and tony where in the end of the opening so they included them

  • no they didnt! they JUST appear as some kind of cameo in intro theme.

  • THIS SHOW WAS SOOOOO LAME. Worst part? Scarlet Witch's stupid accent.

  • @blackphoenix77 Wanda Maximoff WAS of Romanian descent though,

  • If you look at the top of the screen at like...43 seconds or so you see Ironman, Captain America, and Thor standing on top of the logo.

  • Ya know what would rock, guys? If someone took this and mixed it with pages from New Avengers to make a kind of mock New Avengers opening.

    Bryon

  • The movie should have, Captain America, Ironman, Thor, Ant Man, Wasp, Falcon and Hawkeye. The sequel could add, Vision, Scarlett Which and maybe Wonderman.

  • Maybe... Wonderman? He's the coolest character, more of a Marvel version of Johnny Cage than Ice Man himself in the comics. Red lether jacket, black lether pants and rough boots, even has the sunglasses. He looks cool, acts cool and makes you laugh ur ass off. Picture him acting like an asshat and flirting with babes. Vision is awesome but he would be 1-TOO complicated to make 2-die hard boring to watch him talk unless 1-he's 1940s alien Vision or 2-has some Terminator 2 irony joke momments.
  • Eric O Grady the newest Antman and the greatest

  • where is captain america wolverine and iron man?? :(

  • wolverine was on the NEW avengers, not the classic avengers (as i like to call them) that consists of cap america, thor, iron man and the rest who r on the cartoon

  • i like the way that even tough theyre fictional characters, captain america thor and iron man thought they were to good to really participate in this awful show .

  • well. at least the intro is catchy.

  • ok iv never heard of any of these guys and you think a bunch of kids are going to watch it?

  • you're not the whole world, you know...

  • ok i mean yes iv heard of them but dont care enough to go learn more and you think a bunch of kids are going to care about lesser tier characters? no they want to see thor iron man and captain america so chill out and did it really make me sound so self sentured?

  • kinda

but anyway, if kids didn't know this characters at all, they didn't even related this series to the "classic" avengers, so they could watch it like if it was a new superheroes show and nothing else.

Is like if they watched WildC.A.T.s... is a classic superheroe team but not that many people knew them... or know them.

  • i havent seen this cartoon series before but it reminds me to watch x-men sometimes

  • Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor are the triad that is The Avengers. Without them, the show was doomed to obscurity.

Cap and Iron Man got one-shots, while Thor got the shaft.

  • vision and ajax( justice league) have almost the same powers hahah .. they can become transparent, and indestructible .. well, unfortunately criativity is not common..

  • God, I remember this show. Clearly made to sell toys, with the stories ranging from terrible to average. Nothing in between.

Darn shame the Avengers got so short thrifted in the animated series stakes.

  • ahhh yes Fox box before they changed it to 4kids(which sucks) Fox Box was smexi way back then lol

  • actually it was still fox kids when this was on. and yes. it was smexi

  • Screw Cartoons nowadays only good one left is Ben 10 ...ahhh I love being a late 80's 90's child we had the best tv shows. NOT like today

  • totaly with you on that

  • I completely agree with u

  • Don't forget bout Justice League / JL Unlimited but yeah the cartoons nowadays don't deserve too be called cartoons except for a few others.

  • How ironic that Magneto's daughter, Scarlet Witch, is apart of the Avengers.

  • and his son quicksilver or his other daughter polaris and x-men :P his kids dont like him much :P

  • yeah.

  • When did this come out?

  • Where the fuck was the Captain America... Iron Man... Thor... Hulk...!? but that wasn't an impediment to the serie... I think...

  • Well, those characters' popularity is enough to make them stand on their own and thus have their own shows.

  • yah i know eh but u can see them except the hulk at the end on top ant-man

  • wud love to see a Capt. America movie

  • they are releasing it 2010 and the avengers movie 2011...

  • I heard that they're gonna make the "Avengers" movie and release it in 2011

  • Yeah they are. Vision is also getting a solo movie.

  • I think Captain America, Thor and Iron Man not appeared because they're the most famous among the old avengers and everyone was gonna be waiting they saved the day (remember, some of the avengers appeared in the first season of Iron Man and they just were a simple back-up).

Still, it was a fabulous serie, and the intro have more action in music than other super-hero intros.

  • actually iron man did appear in one episode

  • I know, he and Captain America, but if they have appeared in each episode, was going to happen what I wrote.

  • @xcar0982 Cap and Iron Man appeared in one episode each. Thor, on the other hand, got shafted, altogether.

  • @NinjaGhostScorpion I know that, but I posted my opinion about why don't appeared in every episode 2 posts above.

  • I can understand why they didn't want the Big 3, and there actually was a period in the Avengers history where none of them were active members -- BUT, if you really wanted to do that WHY have them in the intro AT ALL?

Having said that, I always loved this music. And I wouldn't have minded the armor except there were entirely too many times when the Avengers 'armored up', but we were never told why this variation of armor was used.

  • The top three are the best/coolest

  • i love fox kids

now is that stupid jetix i hate jetixX(X(

  • The biggest mistake they made was not including the big 3. And that whole armor bs. This cartoon would have been classic. The other Avengers like Scarlet Witch, Hawkeye, Vision, Wasp and Antman could hold their own weight. But of course they blew it with this garbage. The theme song is cool though.

  • totally agree on the armor.......but I think the rest could have done without the 3 Big, at least for the 1st couple of seasons.......but another problem was the voice acting and the characterizations of each member

  • Are you serious? Whether or not you agree, Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor ARE the Avengers.

  • they are the most recognizable agreed, but they are the only reason that team is so great.......

what made the comic so great was not only the interaction between "the BIG 3" but how they interacted with "lesser tier" characters and how those "2nd stringers" interacted with the rest of the team and the Marvel universe......

as I said before, the bigger issue is the characterization and voice acting, that doomed the show from the start, they tried to make it more like Xmen which was a mistake

  • agreed on the voice acting, Hawkeye's voice pissed me off

the big 3 issue was only the start of the disaster

  • The Big 3 issue shows Fox that alot of us actually knew who the Avengers were and who they're supposed to be..........

someone here commented earlier that the roster was based more on a West Coast Avengers feel.....hmmm, I dont remember Falcon ever being a part of the West Coast team so maybe he was the "token minority hero" :P (or maybe the Vision was the minority :P).......all kidding aside, hopefully the planned live action movie in a few years will breed a successful animated spinoff

  • on Marvel's youtube they posted a video about new stuff to come and they have an avenger cartoon planned to come out around its release(as well as a thor for its release and new iron man that so far doesnt look that good since tony is 17 and a teen superhero)

lol and even though its not saying much based on how it looks though it already seems to be better than this atrocity

  • I actually heard about the Thor cartoon being part of the plans(another show that will be hard to write) but if they go "teenage Tony" for a new ironman series (from the crossing storyline), that series goes under pretty darn quick....at any rate, they can pair a kick intro like this one with anything better than the rest of this show, they have something to work with :)

  • God this show was so horrible since it one of the first to try and copy Anime, instead of going by it's OWN source material, lol.

  • Interesting.

    How many episodes were there?

Is the series entitle: 'Avengers: United they Stand'?

I'm trying to find it now myself

  • There were 13 episodes- loosely based on the West Coast Avengers Roster of the mid 80's IronMan did guest star in the series but the classic roster was hampered by some poor creative decisions notably costume changes. It looks slightly out of place against the rest of the '90's Marvel Animated Universe The x-men complete with original voice cast were due to appear in season two, as was Thor though not of the quality of silver surfer or spider-man- its ok.

A DVD is available in the UK

  • at the end of that clip you see cap, shellhead and goldy locks. maybe they were on the show.

  • The avengers crossed with Power rangers!

  • its kinda like justice league if they left out

superman, batman, wonderwoman, flash, and green lantern, lol what were they thinking

  • @mikeynike81 They probably weren't thinking. Thor didn't make a single appearance outside the intro.

  • Wow WTF I've never seen this before!?!?! omg.. Can believe i missed this one.

  • you didnt miss much, trust me ...only lasted 1 season...13 episodes of crap...probably Marvel's worst 90s cartoon, hands down

  • next to Silver Surfer (which was hard to write for) and the 1st season of FF (until they got Dwayne McDuffie back on full time)

  • Niiice!

  • Great intro. I love this music. But then the cartoon is not as good though... I completely agree with ClayNeto. Iron Man, Cap, and Thor are part of what makes the Avengers so perfect.

  • unfortunately, Fox tried to sell the idea of the Avengers being great without turning it into "Cap & the Avengers" or "Iron Man & the Avengers" focusing on one character (especially with shell head already having his own series running around the same time)

  • @ter3645

well actually , cap , thor and iron man ARE FIRST AVENGERS!

    and uh,.......Falcon sucks!

  • didn't last very long either.

  • good cartoon , but the weakest in the marvel 90s cartoons (because the lack of iron man , captain america and thor as the leaders of the avengers)
