the developers tryed putting to much. they should of put the camera like every other game.. the only way i will get tis game if they GET THE DAM SNIPING RIGHT. if you have played homefront with the sniper thats the way it should be. i think.. they need to work on the graphics on this game too and change camera view.

good review, but I can't believe you don't like no-respawn mode. Personally, I hate respawn mode in this game and would rather play a better game like bc2 for respawn modes. Socom has always thrived with its no-respawn modes and this is no different. I have had some exciting matches where I am the last person on my team going against 5 enemies and actually survived to tie the game. No-respawn is where all the excitement is at for this game.

They are going to fix the camera and move it back some. This has been confirmed. I'm feeling the beta so far. I'm a long time socom fan since the 1st in 2002. If your just playing respawn you are missing out on how socom really is played. 1 life makes communication better and makes the game much more intense.

Can't wait for the release of this. I've had my copy pre ordered since it was announced. Good review.

you're pretty good at it. i was getting my ass kicked. part of it was the fact that i like hip firing in socom games. but in this one, i think you're a lot more accurate when you use the sights.

also, socom has been a franchise before all the other 3rd persons you mentioned. if you played the older socoms and im not counting confrontation as a socom because sony gave them a ps2 budget and half the time to make a complete game so it lacked in almost every way but that's besides the point. if you played the older socoms, you would like the original "CLASSIC" camera angle, not this over the shoulder view. there are advantages of having this camera view and not over the shoulder.

the thing about socom and you can check the socoms from the ps2 genre, it was always behind the character. not exactly how you see it now because they pushed it up a bit because of there complete overhaul of the game.... but yeah, socom was never over the shoulder. its a different type of third person. check out socom 2 videos and that will give you an idea of what socom used to be and remember that it was for ps2 so don't expect a next gen type of game
