Sorry to correct you but Jesus (pbuh) is not God (Allah), therefore Mary is not the mother of God, Jesus (pbuh) is only one of the messengers that was sent by God.
He is to be respected as a prophet, and not worshiped as God.

Why is it that I see Muslims, who are not Christians, esteem and honor Our Lady as though they were, and to my great sadness see those Christians who ignore her, and even oppose her, to their great shame? God Bless you for caring for her and showing her respect.

I am a Muslim. I do NOT pray to any animate or inimate object or image. I pray to God Almighty, who is the unseen creator of the universe.
