@Herman152 I dont know the story but the fact the prop has touched the ground also means the engine is shock loaded and both are beyond repair. Prop and engine in the UK will cost more than £20000. Ouch.

I'll have to admit that in a plane you are not likely to get killed by some idiot in another plane as it usually happens in cars.

I witnessed this from the sky, he works with me. His engine failed at 500 AGL, believe me he did everything he could. The only other choice was camelback road with speeding cars - he made the best choice. PS it is a C152. NTSB deemed mechanical failure (bad mags)
