Quanto mi mancano i Depeche Mode con le primissimissime sonorità.. ke erano un po pazzerelli spensierati come in "what's your name?" ma anke dark elettronici e sperimentali come con questa canzone..

Secondo me quando c'era Vince Clark i Depeche Mode avevano una formula unicissima, tanto ke Speak & Spell è forse il loro album ke preferisco!

Sicuramente gran album ma io li preferisco su Black Celebration, ad esempio, che è il mio preferito ;)

Secondo me Clarke anche con Yazoo ed Erasure ha fatto molta roba buona.. L'epoca in cui stava con i DM era sicuramente, come hai detto tu, spensierata.. I pezzi piacciono anche a me molto..con synth e tutto ma con il tempo sono sempre andati a migliorarsi.. c'è da tenere conto del fatto che è un gruppo a sè stante, hanno la particolarità di cambiare sempre ;)

Speak & Spell è stato certamente un album particolare, ma estremamente incostante. Ottime intuizioni (Any second now) affiancate a pezzi che si perdevano nella produzione synth-pop di allora. Secondo me i dpeche mode hanno acquisito la loro vera sonorità con l'arrivo di Wilder in Construction time again e l'hanno persa con il suo abbandono. Vince Clark era ed è un maestro con lesonorità di tipo analogico, ma Wilder coi campionatori le tecnologie digitali era ed è pazzesco (vedi i Recoil).
