New Orleans International Airport - is not in New Orleans.. its actually in a sister city named Kenner. Now Louie made some great songs but there was no reason to rename the airport for him. It was a publicity stunt by Our very bad mayor Nagin. Many many people here in New Orleans still refuse to call this airport Armstrong and call it by it's rightful name N.O International Airport. If we are lucky, when this mayor is gone the next will name it back.

@aajmw Yeah you right. When I took this drive to Louis Armstrong on Sunday, I wanted to hear funeral music. Not the jazz funeral stuff that I want played at my funeral, but the "oh shit I'm dead" stuff played at yankee funerals.
Been there couple times.
Never called it Louis Armstrong airport but MSY or New Orleans airport instead.
