  • The double axle worked for me, and there are axles that will handle the weight and I see allot of BBQ rigs with one axle, but I have never seen one so heavy with one axle. To me it might be hard to balance the weight and only keep 10-15% of the total weight on the tongue. Look to some of the BBQ forums and there are allot of guys that are better than me that can offer better advice I'm sure. Good luck!

  • This is something that I would like to build. Do you think a single axle trailer could handle close to 6,000 lbs? I'm looking to convert a doubles jet ski trailer. Any help would be much appreciated.

  • really enjoyed the video.I am all about bbq. I weld fabricate and invent. This has inspired me to build something similar with the help of friends and money . seen the star . . . . is this texas .....? awesome . !!!!!!

  • now I'm hungry. Nice rig

  • In reply to onewidkedbiker, the gloss black paint is Dupont Imron gloss black, the flat black that is on the firebox and charcoal pit is BBQ Pit High Heat paint, the trailer itself is a Dupont Imron as well.

  • What kind of paint did you paint the pit and smoke box with?? How about the firebox??

  • Nice work!
