Sometimes it takes more skill, and far more guts, to make a story without the classic happy ending. Besides this use your imagination; perhapes she does go back? I think its a short about food for thought. it actually has a message for those who are willing enough to look past one or two points.

A good story, good animation. Wish they'd put these things at the start of movies like they used to as itd make them far more intersting. This would make a movie more intersting.

The video is about child abuse, it was that for a while she had the power over the relationship with the golem, but when it turned violent (even though it was clearly by accident) she could not handle it, an she finally got the power to tell someone/thing to stop hurting her before she had to return to her abusive household.

I think she was running from maybe her violent partner or dad in the begining, which explains the cast. At the end she is sad to return home, maybe meaning more violence. She was probably scared of the Golem after he struch her accidently because of this :)

In classic Golem mythology the Golem always becomes an object of destruction, whether it means it or not. The filmmakers just seemed to be keeping to tradition. Interesting, though, they chose to have the Golem eat the scrolls -- like in Simpsons Halloween XVII. That little bit is not traditional -- from my research. Great film, highly enjoyed their hard work.

I think it's part of the backstory; what was she running from in the beginning, and why does she have a cast on her arm? Why is she reluctant to go home? I think she was being bullied or abused, so the Golem accidentally smacking her felt like a betrayal.

Interesting piece... but I cannot decide on what the artist is trying to tell me. It seems clear to me that her decision to leave the forest has deeper reasons than the accidental slap, and I guess she's not quite happy with returning home. It's a brain teaser.
