  • You've got a great talent, such a great song, reminds me of my childhood when my dad would "sing" the song.Thank you for uploading this video, Much thanks

  • It is frighteningly hard to find this version of the lyrics. The most common version seems to be the one from one of the dragoon's girlfriend's perspective.

  • Just as a quibble, a cavalry troop was about 50 men. The 5th Royal Irish (Enniskillen) Dragoons was a full regiment of over 500 men.

  • Well Done , this is rarely sang and you done it brilliant , thank you

  • try and get a hold of the cd by "craob rhua"

doing this song, the bets ive ever heard, a wee bit more upbeat, but hey, this is a very good rendition of the song

  • Great job! I like the Clancy Brothers version but I must say this slower version packs its own subtle power.

  • This is awesome!!! You have a great pattern, but you have to speed it up, like person below said, constructive criticism!!! What you are singing is like a slow air style and this song is meant to be a faster tempo, otherwise, a hell of a great job!!!5 stars!!!

  • this is really good and you have a nice voice, please put up the faster version

  • It's not pop music, it's folk music for Christ's sake!

Just kidding, interesting version, and it's not an easy song, well done.

  • Haha, I know. I usually play a faster version, but thought I'd try it like this and see how it comes out.

  • Fare Thee Well..Inniskilling mate
