you dont have a modified exhaust you've taken off the muffler tin ......you havent in any way 'modified' it youve actually made it worse! ...... nice bike though .......
no backbox will nacker the engine over very short time u need a backbox for the back pressure no backbox like that will send too many gasses back to ur engine causing it serious damage and for starters its sounds really shit it will make a big diffrence with an exhaust on and allso its a nice bike so make it sound nice
you do know high octane fuel doesn't make it faster, its necessary to run in a high compression engine, now you may have that engine decked out inside and be running 11.5:1 compression, in that case high octane is essential to maintain a knock free and responsive engine, but if its still stock like 6:1 compression than high octane will diminish the engines running quality and power, also what is your mixture? there should be some blue smoke from the exhaust when revved up, it may be to lean
Please read description, I was running 15:1 with 105 octane, and all I ever hear is that higher octane will not make a difference, but that depends on what your using, the VP fuel I was using (motorsport series) actually make a difference with 13:1, but with 15:1 it runs a whole heck of a lot better.
This bike was originally design for 10-inch wheels, but I put on the large ones, and the fork tubes came up higher for the bars but I have the fork tube up higher.
how fast can u get ur pocket rocket to go. I am working on modifying my 49cc cateye is it possible to get it running at least a constant 45 mph. I was going to add a high performance carb with new filter, exhaust, a bigger rear sprocket and a bigger gear sprocket. would that do the trick??
Yeah, if just want some cheap power, get one of the gold billet head kits with the full circle cranks and performance reed block, with the lightened flywheels and timing kayways and you'll get some insane power
its seems easy to get these things louder but is there any way to make these (or any 50cc for that matter) more quiet, and i mean like so quiet that the neighbors wont know
ok first there are only if you drive them on privet propety with permision ofcoarse for an example a big ass lonly parking lot a chuchr parking lot a lonly area
i just bought one of these the other day with the same problem you need to take apart the carburator and spray it with carb+choke cleaner its probably dirty causing the float to stick or the float might be bad
Dude buildup is all about how rich u mix the oil. Dont mix at 32:1, thats how u get hella bad buildup. Use AMSOIL 2stroke Saber. Mix at 100:1, or for safety, 80:1. U will save many port cleanings with that shit.
i like maxima castor 927 2 stroke oil better. at 50:1 mixed with 91 octane. 105 is a little much for that small engine but, it will work. ive went to the airport and bought 107 octane, its blue and smells like maple syrup. and runs hot as hell.
no, actually racing fuel (certain kinds) run WAY better and burn cleaner, all you need to do with these things is advance the timing and compression, I use the VP MotorSport 103 & 109 octane fuels
your bike is awsome btw and ill post a video soon to show u the update with mine. lol i broke the clutch and exhaust and airfilter. dont ask me how cuz i have no clue..XD lol.. but anyways i customized it alot but urs is the best cag ive seen on the web..
quick question.. is the black wire the ground?.. because i am changing my ignition coil and my dad said that there was this black wire.. i am thinking that it is a ground and if i connect it anywhere..thanks
The black wire that comes out of the coil will connect to a kill switch button, and then you use a red wire that is ground the the steel frame of the bike and from there, that red wire goes from the frame to the kill switch button. ...at least that's how mine is set up
k thanks man..well lets put it this way...i have all the wires connected to the spark plug and ignition coil. but there is just 1 wire left with a eye hook. like you said that is the ground.. but do i ground that to the frame or the frame of the engine? thanks
Well, that depends, if the compression and timing isn't right, then yes the engine will run cruddy, but then again certain kinds may have an affect, but I've been using VP fuel for 2.5 years now, and to tell you the truth I recomend using it, because I personally have noticed that it reduces cylinder wear and when using the right compression with the right octane, the power gains are incredible!
IS THIS A GOOD SET UP BIG BORE KIT,BOOST BOTTLE,PERFORMANCE AIR FILTER CARB AND EXHAUSTfor a cag are they reliable whats a good gearing? What size sprocket should I get for top speed?
YES IT IS, ..I put shocks on the front from a Cat-eye, and in the video it's missing the farings, TRUST ME ..I'm big on people calling things by the wrong names, and my pocket bike is awesome and runs awesome.
hmm it stopped it a little..oh well ill just return it cuz of the poor quality parts..overall it was good for the money but i do not want to keep fixing it..im gonna get the x7 =]
I'd want $200 at the least, this thing has had 30+ hours of work, every little thing is fine tuned, aligned, adjusted, and built with fine quality for a CAG, the motor is pretty maxed out!!!!
At a Columbus Oil gas station, it's a pretty good distance, but they have most of VP's high octane fuel leaded and non-leaded, I use mostly VP Motorsport 103-109 octanes, the motor actually burns cleaner and has less build-up with great performance at a 15:1 dome, yes it did take me awhile of searching, but I went to a dirt bike store and was given direction, so really try to locate fuel within your reach, it can be costly to have it shipped to you ...ranges $10-14
That's where the pipe spits into the header, and from pics I've seen I have a radiator hose and hose clamps the hold the pipe together and stop all the brown leaky carbon from getting the motor all dirty!
No... I used to use octane boosters and got poor results, so after crap loads of searching, I was able to locate a place that sells real VP racing fuels and in the past have purchased 103, 105 & 109 octane fuels
It depends what fuel you use, believe it or not, when I had 13:1 with 93 octane, my motor had terrible build up, but ever since I switched to racing fuel, I've had alot longer use on engines with less built up, I use VP Racing Motosport 103-109 octane fuels
yo whats wrong with it if it idles right but when u accelerate it speeds up 4 no reason! ive cleaned the throttle needle, and screwed the idle needle all the way in then unscrewd it 1-3/4 turns out! HELP!!!!
I didn't take anything off I just got it running that day and the engine will need tunning and the fairings just get in the way for now, I have all the fairings
Im pretty sure i have the same engine and pipe you have, not sure about what porting you have done and what carb your running. But i have the engine in a 54" offshore race boat fiberglass rc hull. Thing is going to MISSLE, i just have to finish fiberglassing the engine mounts, im afraid ill pull the bottom of the boat out turning 15:1 compression with the pullstart :P
COOL!!! I'd get one of those boats if I had water around me!
I have an even further modded WYK-171 carb, my intake is custom made, well I took an IP2 larged sized reed kit designed to work with float carbs, and soldered an aluminum barb to the reed block and to a an aluminum manifold block "TrikBox" for a pulse hole, this reed didn't have a pulse hole set up, I do all the porting my self, I have a large 3rd boost port and windowed piston, the flywheel has no cooling fins on it.....
the pipe is not small, the middle of it is about 3.5 inches in diameter, I had my pipe custom moddified, it's one of those fatboy pipes from DDM, that come with a silencer and gastank,
I cut the end off and and had someone weld on a 3/4 collar and weld on a 3/8 stinger on the header and even if it is small, still alot bigger than other expansion chamber exhaust, from doing what I did, it has absolute benefits and sounds nice too! well from your point of view, yeah it does look small
crap
