  • SOON!

  • ... the good ole' days

  • dallas knew he was the key to underoath's success; moved on to better things!

  • if i had to choose new underoath (being a lifelong fan of them, especially since spencer came along) vs new maylene, id choose maylene

  • I still can't comprehend that this is the same Dallas Taylor that was in Underoath. He's so much better in Maylene!

  • @neverender888 definitely... underoath cant even compare to Maylene

  • met him in Rochester NY and then saw him again in Albany, he remembered me and my friend :)

  • Good ole Maylene.

I've been pounding all three of there albums every day waiting for IV to drop.

  • Saw them in tupelo at minerva fest. I then met dallas. nicest guy in the world. oh, it was amazing :DD

  • Saw them in Greensboro, NC. Crowd sucked but I rocked out with Dallas. Hell yes.

  • My 11th month old dances to this song x]

  • my cousin played guitar for them they all stayed at my grandparents house. I ate breakfast with dallas and the guys... aka at 1:06 is my cousin. Great band.

  • @Daslive1 you are so lucky! aha.

  • This is the old underoath's singer, yeah?

  • @SuperMilesTaylor He was like 4 albums ago lol

  • The last flash of him geting out of the water. i paused it over and over till i paused it on that part.

  • i'll take back everything if you stay by my side:)

  • This song is embedded in my personality code!

  • i saw these guys two days ago with protest. fucking epic.

  • @cpf4me Seen them just last night with protest... was amazing. Never heard of them til last night. Now I am a fan. my favourite band of the night!

  • @cpf4me i saw them in april, before the i bought the tickets i never heard of them, but yea i think they're my second favorite band along with protest now

  • @Shenaniganz69 where did you see them in april

  • @taylor7787 saw them in Phx

  • I can't find the first album on amazon anymore? Wonder if the band line up change had anything to do with it? Enlighten me if anyone knows?

  • If you guys like Maylene you should check out Heroes and Hypocrites. They havent posted their whole EP yet but they will soon! So you should sub them.

  • So.. who will lend me any muscle car to test drive with this song?

  • stay by my side! (8)

  • ehh what the hell matters the religion the hole discussion here is useless..... see the musik iss what its about and they def rock dat shit!!!!!! don´t care if someone is muslim christian or jew or what ever

  • Taylor just tells tales of destruction and redemption. Works pretty well with the intense riffing and Southern leads. Love this band.

  • Why are so many people commenting on Maylene's religious beliefs. Who cares? It's just music! Check out this AMAZING SS/Maylene mashup I discovered while partyin with my friends one day about 5 years ago. I finally mashed it up for youtube. We almost spit out beer out laughing so many times at how amazing this looks, HA! youtube com/watch?v=RZhqQWX1sXU

  • they are the only thing about the cristian church i like

  • @Dragothxxl13

    Really? Why?

  • oh.

i just found a band called dry the river and theyre all folky. i typed int his and the vid started with an epic drum rolling beat. thent he guitar kicked in and i realised this wasnt 'dry the river'. EPIC tune tho :D

  • @bordertornapathy "thank God for making me an atheist" ...haha

  • One of my favorite songs by them!! :D

  • @dudeface6666 long live the south

  • It's seriously hard to believe that this is the mastermind behind underoath....

  • That's what I love about Metal, Hardcore and Punk, people don't care if the bands are Christian or atheist or what, they just want to listen to good music.

  • @commanderjarak and at last they looks like a real metal band

  • @commanderjarak that applies to any genre of music :)

  • @commanderjarak obviously, some people care...

  • That's what I love about Metal, Hardcore and Punk, people don't care if the bands are Christian or atheist or what, they just want to listen to good music.

  • omg. they're pretty hard core.. haha. but they rock !

  • After Maylene's first song on the AP Tour, Dallas took a moment to pause and tell the audience that he hoped the audience could enjoy their music regardless of their religious beliefs. They are Christian and they are one of the greatest Southern Metal bands of all time.

  • Only one word: Awesome.

  • morri x_x goshhhhhh great band!!! GBY

  • I think that one can still have faith and belive in Christ even if they stumble and dont show it all the time. If salvation was dependent upon how we as people acted or presented ourselves to the world, no one could receive it. It is dependent on God alone, not us. I agree fruit of the spirit will be evident if someone belives, but this is just a band, and not every aspect of the individual members lives is going to be shown. Maybe it is somewhere else in their lives that it is more evident.

  • Christian??? That's funny. If your lyrics don't glorify God, it ain't christian. Besides, I know a couple of these guys and if they're Christians... you can't tell by being around them.

  • They're so hardcore my belly hurts :P epic beards. jesusspeaks, a trusted name in waterproof microphones... avoid the bald man with a mustache in the woods... and i do love them dearly :)

  • I'm Hindu, but by Siva! This band rocks!

  • 3:38 LOOK! It's gordon liddy!!!! haha

  • Im muslim but god i love this band! They are pure awesome!!

  • They are religious in life but if you've ever looked at the bands website you'd know the lyrics are all about Ma Barker and her sons who ran organized crime in Ocala, Florida. The lyrics are written as though the band members are her sons.

  • "GOD MAKE ME PAY LIKE THE DEVIL I AM"

Doesn't sound very christian to me? lol.

  • @josh6duff why just because they said devil

  • @josh6duff that means he's repenting... and admitting his fault

  • @josh6duff c'mon man. enjoy the music. for real.

  • Comment removed

  • @josh6duff Ever heard about metaphors?

  • M@YL3N3

  • have you not heard this song before or even looked up the lyrics? he never said anything about GOD or said anything that maybe sounded like he was...NO one has to say it u can hear it for ur self.

  • i hate when people think that if somone is from the south that they are automatically rednecks...and im from minnesota so its not like im just defending myself. Great song also

  • one of my favorite bands, II is EPIC!!

  • how is this christian music if the song and the damn music video have nothing to do with god?

  • @brandi7137 who says they dont?

  • @brandi7137 Being a band that's christian doesn't automatically mean they have to sing about god 24/7.

  • @vampirekitty01 have they ever sang anything about god? how is someone suppost to tell the difference if it sounds the same as every thing

  • @brandi7137 Just because they're christian doesn't mean they're going to write EVERY SINGLE SONG about god... If they did, I probably wouldn't listen to them like I do.

  • @vampirekitty01 But can you be a vampirekitty AND a CHRISTIAN? Vampires drink blood, you know.

  • i hate these guys!!!

  • wtf is that dallas taylor?

  • @CodyD757 Yea bro

  • @CodyD757 i know.... times change :(

  • makes me prowd to be a redbeck

  • I would intervene in that argument down there but does it really bring about anything? I like this band, I'm a christian, these guys are an awesome testament to southern christian rock, enough said.

  • ur all gay. i love this band the most!

  • LOVE THIS SONG!! :D

  • Now that is a manly video!

  • is that aaron gillespie at 2:07?

  • @nprsux nada, haha

  • Red necks I think, aren't they?

  • pretty much i guess. they make great music though

  • @Luisitox5 kinda, they are from the south, and that's what influences their music

  • @Luisitox5 Farthest thing from that. The singer used to front Underoath. Hes got class

  • @Luisitox5

So just because they play southern metal, it means they're rednecks?

  • @Ikkiku No, no at all, it was just a question , it's 'cause in other videos they seem kinda rednecks, but I don't know,

  • in went to see them back in november with lacuna coil, and lacuna coil was doing signings and you left from the back(outside).. and when i went outside dallas was there either smoking a fat joint or a self rolled cig, it was mad cool though

  • @TROXURSOX what a shame, i hate hypricits!!! :\

  • @emo97pc im sure most of the people here hate emos

  • These guys are so nice. Theyll put on the best damn show youve ever been to then hang out with you after. Im about to see them for the 5th time tomorrow and its gonna be good times. Cant wait for dallas to yell in my face.

  • Dallas basically handed me and my friend the mic when they were playing Caution when we saw them in Cincinnati. It was so damn epic.

  • @alexstaniskis Ah! I just seen them at Mad Hatter on Feb. 25, but the crowd sucked so bad. I talked to Dallas and he pretty much agreed.

But either way Maylene was awesome.

  • They make it known at concert there not trying to shove it down your throat or be better. We're just the same as everyone else. They arnt soliciting God. Theyre making it known that someone loves you.

  • lol "soliciting God at their concerts"

    never had that feeling

  • I'm atheist but this is one of my favorite bands. I don't give a shit that they're a Christian band. They're epic as shit.

  • @bordertornapathy yeah same here i dont look into their beleifs or any of that, they make some dirty ass southern metal and thats what i care about

  • @bordertornapathy Agreed. I'm an atheist and some of my favorite bands are Christian. As I Lay Dying, Demon Hunter and of course Maylene. I may disagree with almost everything they believe but when it comes to metal they rock \m/

  • @bordertornapathy Its more like southern rock but sick band !

  • @bordertornapathy ya and they are definitely not in your face about their beliefs...its the same as anything in life that you can take someone elses words and apply them to your situation

  • IT matters because at every underoath concert they open sometimes with ' LEts all thank jesus for blah blah '. They push religion, not just believe in it. They're practically soliciting God at their concerts.

  • "at every underoath concert they open sometimes with"

    every one sometimes eh?

lol, so don't go to their concerts. why shouldn't they be able to express their beliefs? this is america. and they don't push it on you. they simply state that God is the reason they play music.

  • I think he was trying to articulate that sometimes they open with praising jesus, and sometimes they leave it for perhaps the middle of the set, or the end. Dig?

  • they don't push it, they just mention it briefly, if thats pushing it then you must take it very personally. they are allowed to state their influence and beliefs if they want, and if you got a problem with that then go to a country where they aren't allowed to.

  • dallas taylor was better in underoath..

  • nah dude.

    not a chance.

  • That's where you're wrong buddie...

  • They aren't Jesus freaks, are they?

  • Yes they are all christian

  • @emzo3000 What makes you think so? The Bible says you'll know a tree by the fruit it bears. I don't see or hear the fruit. Sorry, but I disagree.

  • Comment removed

  • what does it matter? if you like the music, they're choice of religion shouldn't bother you.

  • It matters, the fact that anyone is religious bothers me. Blind faith should bother everybody.

  • @twiztidserialkilla

Sure, but faith and blind faith is not the same thing.

And being overly anti-religious is not a good thing.

Being overly anti-anything is not good, because it turns you into a douchebag.

If you want to be as good as a person as you can be, you must always try to be tolerant.

  • @twiztidserialkilla its called christian, not esus freaks.

  • i don't think so.

dallas taylor was kicked out of UO for doing heroin.

    then he started this shit.

  • Look up DallasTtaylor's interview on youtube. He wasn't kicked out for heroin lol.

  • Now this is good southern Rock

  • maylene reminds me of he is legend

  • good i'm not the only one!

  • this one is kickin' asses!

  • Man I so badly wanted to see them at Taste Of Chaos but couldn't get tickets. I hope they play a few shows in the UK while there over.

  • Couldn't agree more I saw the same show in Toronto last night and they kicked ass!!

  • what happened to dallas...*sigh*

  • he got fuckin awesome!

  • no he was way better in uynderoath

  • he expaned his vocal's into a whole new genre, that takes fuckin skill if u ask me. he was great in underoath don't get me wrong but to go from that style to this is true talent.

  • dude these guys top ATR by soo much

  • man this reminds me a lot of Down and pantera, proper southern metal.

  • i saw these guys with All That Remains. I gotta say, never heard of them before but was really impressed with there music. MUCH better than the other bands (besides ATR) that were there...plus the lead singer looks like he could be Rob Zombies little brother lol

  • u jus took the words right outta my mouth! i also seen them for hardrive tour and yeah! they were pretty awesome!

  • The lead singer used to be in underØATH, but he's so much better in Maylene. He didn't even enunciate in underØATH.

  • @ZodiacDragons the lead singer is the ex vocalist for underoath

  • i'd take back everything if you stay by my side......

  • I just like no matter which way you cut it the best rock in the country comes from the south. . . both of the bands your arguing about.

  • the world is full of critics well when you produce your 1st hit guys holla back at us ok thanks

  • ok. who should I holla to?

  • you can holla to me im a producer send me a copy of your hit if its good enough Im sure it will go far or post it and ill comment on it fair enough right !

  • fuck u

  • i wish i knew who dallas taylor was 6 years ago. i thought underoath just turned emo, but really they lost most their talent when DALLAS left!

  • what's funny is that this song does not get commercial play where I live, sacramento. Yet this shit is seriously better music than half of what you hear on the radio. It really blows that I can't listen to music like this at work while the radio is on.

  • gj dallas in both underoath and maylene

  • MAYLENE!!!! the best your gonna get!!!

  • who gives a shit if there better...who gives a shit about which dallas is better in

they are both good so stfu tire of seeing the same shit on all the maylene videos jesus christ.

  • Great song, great band!!! I love these guys!!! I used to watch these guys on TVU!!! I heart these guys!!! Later...

  • Dude everyone chill, just enjoy the song! I love Maylene and the sons of Disaster!

  • weird how i found your page on a video response of a random video i searched lol

  • I like this band better than Underoath

  • mmm.... they may not be better that underoath (couse theyre totally differnt).... i dont hate spencer chamberlain (i like him)....but i really do think that aron gillespie stabbed dallas on the bak (my conclussions about dallas interviews) ....and im totally sure (i would give my life) that UNDEROATH WITH DALLAS TAYLOR HAS BEEN THE BEST FUCKING BAND EVERRRRR ALLL OVER THE WORLD!!!!!!!!!!

  • they arent better than underoth with dalls but i hate new underoath singer

  • Gahhhh these guys are almost as epic as the Norma Jean.

I'm in loveeeeee with Southerncore =]

  • Man I just can't get enough of this sound.

Dallas has found the music to complement his voice. Awesome.

  • I agree!!!

  • this is one of Maylene's best songs, those are some badass riffs, I can work all day long to these guys.

  • Could u stop comparing underoath with these guys. Both are epic in their own way.

  • fuck you these are better ..

  • better than underoath????!!!

  • *w*

  • underoath is actually better without him

  • i agree but these guys are better than underoath

  • i respect your opinion...but you sir are an idiot.

  • dallas taylor is a badass, underoath was retarded for getting rid of him. underoath went from pretty good to just okay, and now dallas taylor went from pretty good to fuckin badass.

  • fucking awesome

  • wow dallas changed much if you compare it to underoath

  • fuck Underoath

    long live MAYLENE ATSOD

  • They're both good. Dallas can't sing Underoath's style but he is probably the best southern hardcore front man. Him or Schuylar Croom from He Is Legend.
