i know that many folks who are homeless are fleign from abuse, or loose there job due to doownsizign, peple get sick and cant pay bills, ect, family emergancies.... people who r disabled, or ill or elderlyand r not supported, BUT thsese guys who smokeand or drink COULD DO BETTER IF THEY DIDNT WASTE what money they got on smokin and booze !!!!

I have a college diploma and over three years of office clerk experience and am about to (most likely)become homeless by June. It can happen to anyone-it's not funny and it's not good to judge people who are homeless because it could happen to any one of us.

Pay into the system your whole life, pay taxes, pay social security, etc, then fall on some hard times - and the city/state wants to get rid of you like you no longer exist. This is what the government does, this is how they treat their "civilians".

All it takes to become homeless in America is to simply makes 3 wrong decisions in a row, or 1 unfortunate major thing like your car breaking down to find yourself sleeping under a bridge.

I've worked with the Homeless before, and you'd be surprised how lucky alot of people are to not find themselves in such a situation.

Example: You, or you and your family only have one car in which to get to work. Your cars breaks down, you can't get to work,lose your job, then your house, Viola- Homeless.

5 stars for this video!! We could ALL easilly end up this way, if the economy crumbles just a bit more. Not to be paranoid but I do think there is merit that it is by design. Our founders would cringe at the sissy state of take it up the rear citizens/slaves in the USA today. Stand up for Liberty and Freedom! I was also thinking of a few times in the past how I have given a homeless person a few bucks purposely after leaving a bar myself and how good it made me feel to help them feel good :)

1 They are getting money of some kind (hard liquor & cigs)

2 That they have different priorities than other people. Sorry but if I was homeless living in tents & makes shift shelters, a different priority set might serve me better.

I didn't say that they COULD not have them. I just pointed out that they did have them. A pack of cigs is what $4-$5? I can eat a week on that. You pointed it out yourself. It is a luxury.

These guys consume our tax dollars for disability - yet can construct a shelter built so well the building inspector says its better than most he sees.
