  • People don't want to hear the music most of the time, we want to hear the car!!!

  • Remember the superbird? We used to benefit as consumers from nascar racing, but toyota has never produced a stock production car with a pushrod v-8 for the public, if nascar wants to change rules how about lets race real STOCK CARS like it was supposed to be, the only mods allowed/required should be the safety equipment, otherwise race them as stock! Imagine the 2013 Ford GT and the 2013 ZR-1 vette racing the million dollar toyota car, and they are all for sale to the public.

  • hahaha nascar virgin

  • that track would be an awesome nascar track

  • Toyota came into NASCAR in 2007. How many cup or Nationwide championships have they won? NONE. Joe Gibbs had three championships with Chevy, then their geniuses decided rice was the future. How's that working out for you Joe? Stupid stupid stupid.

  • @TheThumper49 Kyle won the 09 NNS championship and since 2008 toyota has claimed has won 27 races in the cup series and about 40 in the nationwide series...do some research before you go babbling on you moron.

  • road courses suck!

  • With 4 dlls /gal gas prices just right around corner, thanks but no thanks ! ha

  • Toyotas are just Toys!

  • @phatmattcowboys

the most sold "toys" in the world, that says something

that's capitalism, you make the money and are successful, and you have the bragging rights to be the biggest manafacturer in the world

Money is what makes the world go around. Sticking to traditions and not developing? You'll end up extinct, like the dinosaurs.

Btw, your 4 word sentence is truly profound. Pardon my sarcasm.

  • @McLarenMercedes Fuckin awesome! I bet a person with a stick shoved up their ass would find you interesting.

  • "It's a bit more of a manly kind of sport, really"

    Fuck all the haters!

  • Why did they ruin the music of the engine with this retarded non-engine music?

  • How ironic, a Japanese car in an American racing sport. (Not bashing on Japan or anything)

  • @PeopleSpokeSK8 I think that Toyota should be banned from NASCAR. In Japanese race car championships only Japanese brands are admitted as official teams, and if you want to run a non-japanese car you have to do it by a private team.

  • @C7H042 you do know the camry is the only car made in the US, fusion, charger and impala are not

  • @sydneyfcanddascc I know that! Ford fusion is made in Mexico (I'm mexican, FYI), Dodge Charger and Chevy Impala are made in Canada. But the Toyota has been developed ENTIRELY in Japan (including the cup car).

  • you have a lot to learn.. your lucky im too sleepy to explain you how much your inside a box.

  • i have never seen nascar,i'd like to see a race

  • I love how people who follow other forms of racing talk so much shit about Nascar. There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes to make these cars to go. I think the people who mock Nascar would gain a whole lot of respect for the sport, cars and teams if they were to try to work a day at a shop (good luck lasting). Because these cars are a lot more than the highly advertised pushrod V8 3400 lb car.

  • i was told toyota use their 4.7 quad cam motor from the land cruiser converted to push rod and taken out to 5.8 litre

  • I think I would have more interest in Nascar if they did more road course racing.

  • @seroyer2 Im more of a oval and superspeedway fan but I will agree with ur comment 100%, I think there should be one more road race during the season, at one during the chase at either sears point or watkins

  • all american cars are the best put it that way guys, at least we all like american made vehicles

  • BUT, this is the first time I see a Nascar in a normal circuit. Cool... I would love to see one on Nurburgring-Nordschleife...

  • Driving around in circles... -_-

  • why do they put a japanese car in an american racing association? no wonder our economy sucks.

  • yes, broaden the horizion is a bad idea.

  • our economy sucks becuz of you stupid people and george bush

  • our economy sucks because fags like you buy too many pos toyotas

  • i guess americans like toyotas more than your peice of shit ford mustangs

  • And that's just never going to hapen because the Mustang is a real car and a toyota is for pussies.

  • actually more Toyotas are made by american workers in factories in the states, than those GM and Ford products which are either made by Mexicans or Canadians, and use cheap parts made who knows where

Toyota employ american workers. What does Ford and GM do? Sell out to cheaper workers in other countries.

Go fuck yourself you ignorant idiot. Ford stands for Fixed Or Repaired Daily. If you want to buy american buy Mopar, not fucking Ford.

  • Just go home cowboy. You ever heard that Ford stands for ''Found off-road rescuing Dodges''? hehe

  • Hemi engine from Mopar killed all Fords in Nascar. Richard Petty drove Mopar and he was the king of Nascar. Mopar and GM kicks Fords sorry ass.

First car to average 200mph in Nascar was a Dodge Charger in 1970.

As for Bullit. The Charger survived all the jumps while shooting the scene. That piece of shit Mustang McQueen drove needed to be fixed after every shot. I can prove it.

  • the only engine ever banned from nascar was a FORD engine...the legendary 427 CAMMER, and the HEMI deisgn was actually a ford idea sold to mopar. seconldy, all nascar blocks are aluminum now-a-days. thirdly i was referring to what engine toyota uses since they have no history in nascar...The big 3 all have roots in nascar and have developed new versions of the same OHV layout for years....i was curious if toyota just uses a ford/mopar/gm engine or if they actually developed their own...

  • ha, you called the guy an ignorant idiot, and then said ford stands for fixed or repaired daily. do you realize you're just as much of a fanboy as any annoying ford fanboy?.... wait, am i in a ford/chevy debate? I AM OFFICIALLY AN ASSHOLE

  • Anyone know a Sprint Car's 0-60 time?

  • Comment removed

  • you will have more fun diving a slow car fast on a corse with lots of turns vs a high HP nascar type car with no handling or traction

  • does anyone know if the Toyota Nascar uses its own engine or is it just a "re-bodyed" Chevy?

  • it a toyota engine its useing a trd engine

  • Well, the distributer cap was in the front, so if it is "re-bodyed", it is most likely a Ford Engine.

  • 1:08 "More of a Manly kind of sport, really."

  • The background music is pretty awesome...It sound so dynasty warrior-ish

  • I never understood why nascar is so popular until today when I heard someone say this. "Its the only sport you can still follow when you're totally hammered."

  • you stick wit ur turbo 4. id rather have a turbo v8

  • Yeah, Nascar owns all, till a right turn shows up.

  • btw.. Nascar owns all!

  • this car is a motor on wheels.

  • what engine does camry use? chevy and ford have their pushrod engines but what engine does toyota run on?

  • probably a bespoke cast iron pushrod V8 like the others, with carburettors and such

    real low tech

  • Fuck off you prick. It may be low but it's made better than your fuckin' German bugattis and bimmers. A 5.8L CGI OHV Carburated NA V8 pushing down almost 900hp and 9,500RPM is better than europeans will ever be able to dream of..

  • Veyron has 1001 bhp...

  • @TGTAP

Who gives a fuck? That brick has 16 cylinders and 4 turbines and who knows how many valves.. it's so complicated it can break down any moment when it doesn't like the load. Take a look at some real engines at NASCAR maybe you'll learn something..

  • actually the owners have never complained of something so far

it does NOT break down any moment, they designed it to last for several years

cast iron pushrod engines with carburettors is REAL engines? when? not even roadcars use them nowadays, it's like making fighter jets with radio tubes

that's the trich you see, designing something advanced that is reliable and good, OR you could go down the cheap and easy route...

A 16 cylinder engine can be perfectly balanced an 8 cylinder cannot

  • @McLarenMercedes

so what you couldnt even handle a nascar engine

  • you're seriously stupid

they got over 840hp from the 2,4L V8's in Formula 1, revving to 20,000 rpm. That's not even half the size. Bet it is a lot more fuel efficient too not to mention using way smaller radiators and exotic materials those in Nascar wouldn't think of in 50 years.

Are you seriously saying it's harder to make some big lump revving too 9000 rpm than one that revs to 20,000 rpm and experiences insane amounts of sideways G-forces to last for 600 kilometres of hard racing?

    troll

  • @McLarenMercedes well considering in f1 the cars drive themselves...

  • @jaqua524 not really. They are a fucking bitch to drive, and they require YEARS of training. The average nascar fanboy excuse.

  • @jaqua524 F1 cars also have he hell of alot more gear changes for the f1 driver to worry about.

  • @EpiDemic117 Despite the fact of the G-forces acting over the driver, and when a small change in the spoiler angle makes your car fly, and the fucking heat on the cockpit (even if they haven't one).

  • @EpiDemic117 thats true, but all he has to do is flip a paddle lever to switch nascar has a good ole fashioned clutch and a 4 speed stick

  • @sstroh08 indeed. i always thought nascar was easy till trying it out in gran turismo 5. HARD AS FUCK! the car doesn't want to stay stable. It takes a TON of skill!

  • @McLarenMercedes What does a NASCAR engine to be an endurance challenge? One word: Torque

  • @McLarenMercedes theyve thought of all of that, they just dont want it, to drive a cup car oyu got to have real talent and be tough, hell anybody can drive a car that adjusts its self and has more downforce then it weighs...

  • The MiG 21 uses radio tubes and was designed in the 50's, yet it's still capable of Mach 2 and can outrun some modern fighters

does that make it a better fighter jet??

where's those Nascar engines in Endurance racing btw? In those the efficiency for weight and fuel used in comparison to the horsepower produced, wins races. That's an engineering challenge. Pushing the Mallard to 126mph hardly meant steam engines could compete with electricity and diesel in trains.

  • @McLarenMercedes

wheres ur point? are you saying those things aren't endurable enough? do you see any other engines that big running at 9,000 RPM 4 hours and lasting that much? try a bimmer or some other german fuck ups.. youll see the magnificence of complication. ;)

  • @ht666th Might want to google Le Mans

  • @Zlazuja

yeah google it you fag and see that corvette fucks everyone!!!

  • @ht666th

First of all they do not run 9000rpm for 4 hours straight. Also there's LeMans 24 hour races and 1000km endurance races where manafacturers such as those "german fuck ups" run higher than 9000rpm through a heck of a lot more complex and diverse running situations. Not to mention their engines are a lot closer to what are found in their roadcars.

My point is. Whoever thinks nascar engines are impressive might as well talk about how impressive the steam engines of the Titanic were.

  • @McLarenMercedes

    lol, funny, but terribly misinformed.

  • @McLarenMercedes You sir are ignorant to say the least.

  • @McLarenMercedes i beg your pardon,...but the steam engines on the titanic WERE impressive,..cheers!

  • @McLarenMercedes

"In terms of how we develop nascars cars, it [comes] absolutely down to how the driver can describe what’s happening to the car to his crew chief, his engineers and how they can interpret what’s going on because we have no means whatsoever of actually looking at what the car is doing.” - steve hallam former mclaren f1 engineer

    now that is impressive

  • Respond to this video... i understand what u mean, but they dont want nothing high tech in those cars thats the point, its not supposed to be fancy machines working with help of a driver, you got to have skill and be tough, and the chevy ro7 and ford fr9 are old school push rod small block 358 ci [5.7 L] v8s, they make around 950 hp and are expected to run 9500 rpms -9500 rpms!- for 5 hours, ive seen a car go 30 laps after steaming out all of its water, NO COOLING! thats endurance...

  • Listen freind it is a great american sport and we dont care what some kangaroo rancher thiks. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!

  • LMAO, v8 supercars are very similar to NASCAR cars.

  • NASCAR is one giant commercial.... am i the only person to notice?? think about it, all the cars are rolling ads... UPS, Tide, CAT, Budwiser, M&Ms, etc... i would take an F1 anyday

  • Then again, aren't ALL race cars rolling billboards? Someone's gotta pay the bills...even in F1.

  • that is true, but the advertising in nascar is the most over the top ive ever seen on any races. at least f1, le mans, and gt cars are tastefully stickered up. teams still have their own colors, and the ads are just names and decent decals. much better than cars painted in an m&m theme in my opinion.

  • yeah but they get paid a lot more money than other drivers to have those sponsers..

  • why a camry though..

  • they should have taken a supra to do that :D

  • nascar is kinda lame, formula 1 and gt racing is where the real technology and skill are. and dont forget le mans, that shit is something else.

  • I'm going to kinda have to agree with you on this one... F1 engines rev up to 19,000 RPM and 650L of air/second.

    whew!

  • I wouldn't say it's entirely 'lame', but at least I can credit NASCAR for leading me to discover sports/touring cars, GT and endurance racing. Though riddle me this: I've been into NASCAR for the better part of ten years now...but I don't understand why they're called "stock cars"?

Hence why I looked into, and fell in love with sports/GT cars and touring cars.

  • no, its not completely lame. there is a lot of technology involved, i just dont find it very interesting or exciting. i do agree that gt cars are awesome and i like that they resemble regular production cars fairly closely. i think that makes it easy to relate to gt racing. i think that originally nascar started out with virtually stock but that has changed a bit over the years.

  • I love NASCAR

  • i dont realy like nascar for some odd reason
