I think a jury should "nominate" Mr. Paladino for a 3-5 year term with the State of New York for terroristic threatening. That would be the only SANE 12 votes he would ever get. Keep in mind though that this is New York which tends to lean left, and also has a population of Jews(who I'm guessing probably keep abreast of politics more than other population demographics), and other minorities(who tend to vote democrat). I'm a New Yorker, and I'm not saying I like Palidino, because I don't, but I also don't think it's fair to criticize him for what he said here. First of all, the reporter was being aggressive right off the bat, and secondly, he was defending his daughter, "send another goon to my daughter's house and I'll..."
The way I see it he was acting in the defense of his daughter. Crude, hell yeah, but still, acting so that the media would stop invading his child's home. That's the action of a father.

@Petronio39 From what I read all the reporter did was go to the home and ask to hear their story regarding the affair. Its not like he broke in and assaulted his daughter. A reporter reports and the response it to lie and say he cheated on his wife with no proof? I'm sorry I can't justify such sleazy behavior.

I don't know. The reporter got in his face. In certain neighborhoods, that's a threat. Paladino is an obvious liar, but I'm not sure I wouldn't react the same way if another dude got in my face like that.

I found it a little odd. Paladino said that people were coming to his house and asking his daughter questions about an affair. His his 10 year old daughter a child of his own affair 10 years ago is off limits to the press. Of course it's not, but I thought it was awsome how he put that reporter in his place. If someone hypothetically attacked Cenks daughter like that, it would be the same damn reaction.

The reporter was out of line. His question was legitimate but he clearly had an agenda when he started getting in Palidino's face.
Reporters aren't supposed represent politicians but defending Palidino's opponent was clearly a personal aim of the reporter's.

I think a jury should "nominate" Mr. Paladino for a 3-5 year term with the State of New York for terroristic threatening. That would be the only SANE 12 votes he would ever get. Why does this guy remind me of another politician, Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot, who ran for mayor of Gotham City a number of years ago? It's an uncanny resemblance in a number of ways.

Keep in mind though that this is New York which tends to lean left, and also has a population of Jews(who I'm guessing probably keep abreast of politics more than other population demographics), and other minorities(who tend to vote democrat). I'm guessing tea party candidates will be much better received in the bullshit states.

Jews in America have been at the core of some of the most liberal groups/ideologies in its history. Maybe Israeli jews are conservative, but not american ones. Muslims are generally conservative, but they vote democrat because the republican party is against them. Similarly with comments like "Fuck the jews, they don't vote for us", the Republicans aren't Jew friendly.
The one thing Jews and Muslims agree on: We're conservative, we're voting Democrat, because we don't want the party that hates minorities in power.
