You know, I have to say, the great music of this particular Dolphy Quintet aside, I'm rather impressed by this television studio set. It's beautiful and modernistic in its design, actually really futuristic by the standards of the day. It's certainly more advanced than the hokey sets we had stateside at the time.
Who is the German host? I once saw a show from 60s about polish jazz music, Komeda etc. He was also the host, I remember he complained to Krzysztof Komeda. that there was so little jazz music in German 60s movies, comparing to polish cinema from that era.
BENNY BAILEY, GEORGE JOYNER are by no means "nobodys"!! - just by the way, Booker Little died in 1961. everybody in the band does an amazing job - check out the record made of this performance featuring tremendous versions of "hi-fly", "god bless the child", "i'll remember april" and "hot house"

@xero1391 That is Benny Bailey on trumpet!!! Obviously you don't know much about jazz, some of the best players are little known. Benny Bailey is the shit!!! You don't need a name when you can play like that.
