Like Adam and Eve in the bible.... A place of paradise with no worries, and that means no technology. And it symbolize the forbidden fruit, and the lady was the serpent tempted them to use it. This was a great episode interesting. So much to say for us start over that way.
That wasn't fair. It's like she was forcing him to use the phone...and then with all those bugs that suddenly started appearing, it wasn't much of a choice.
@UnderDog988 - No music and video? So what? We can live without those. In fact, music can be damaging to the ears, and watching videos via the internet and television has resulted in deficient attention spans and problems with vision. Now, if there were no sex in pre-historic times, I would have a problem with that, but that was certainly not a problem.
@UnderDog988 - No clothes? Sure there were. People wore animal skins. I pity you if you believe that name-brand clothing is the only acceptable form of clothing. No exciting job? Do you even have a job yet? Many people hate their jobs. I think hunting would be quite fascinating - scary, but thrilling. No thinking? You know, pre-historic humans had well-developed brains. That's how they came up with the idea of developing tools and were able to survive.
@UnderDog988 - Also, chances are that you would travel more in the pre-historic world than today. Generally, most people go to the same places every day in today's world, with the occasional vacation once or twice a year, maybe, whereas in the pre-historic world there was constant traveling to different places to find new sources of food, water and shelter. It is very possible to travel across a country by foot, and such feats have been accomplished.
@UnderDog988 - "It would be like repeating one day over and over. You wouldnt get travel and see new thing, you would alway be stuck at the same place in woods or plain land. No music, no video, no clothes, no exiciting job, no thinking"...You don't think the following is routine: waking up in the same house, getting ready, going to school/work, coming home, taking care of the kids/doing homework, then sleeping? That's the average American citizen's day.
For example, if people stopped smoking, consuming drinks other than water (sodas, sugary fruit juices, etc.), consuming unhealthy foods (pizza, cheeseburgers, etc.), etc., then problems such as cancer, diabetes, obesity, heart attacks, high cholesterol levels, would essentially be eliminated, and we wouldn't have to resort to drugs (aka modern medicine) to help us continue living.
How has natural selection essentially been eliminated for modern world humans? Rather than letting natural selection choose the most fit human beings, we are preventing unfit humans from dying and simply allowing them to reproduce. How so? Modern medicine. Sure, saving lives may be considered a good thing, but not when it leads to overpopulation and survival of unfavorable traits, as is the case today. By the way, modern medicine would not be nearly as necessary if people lived naturally.
Females, on the other hand, often had higher body fat percentages in the pre-historic world. Many of you might claim that such a fact proves my point wrong, but in fact it doesn't. The low body fat percentages obtained by many females in the modern world, especially those stick-thin anorexic models, is completely unfavorable for giving birth and not good for the child. And my last point of my rant is that natural selection has virtually been eliminated for modern-world humans, which is bad.
Some of you might counteract with the ideas that there are females that are better built than males, with lower body fat percentages. Such facts are explained by the change in the typical lifestyle of humans over the years. Many males in the modern world are sedentary, and many females are much more active, explaining such observations. In the pre-historic world, almost all males were highly active and well-built.
There's a reason females have traditionally been house wives. Additionally, many feminists are trying to suggest that it is degrading for part of a woman's role to be considered pregnancy. Once again, such an idea is in direct contrast with our biology. Females generally have a higher body fat percentage than males for a reason - a higher body fat percentage is favorable for giving birth.
Yet, indeed, males are supposed to have sex on their mind often. Such behavior promotes the survival of the species and is thus selected for. Feminists try to change the roles of males and females in society - trying to promote the idea that women are equally capable of physical labor previously restricted to males. And yet our biology is in direct contrast with such an idea. Males have ten times as much testosterone as women (that's a whopping 1000%).
Another major problem I have with modernization is with the ideas promoted by feminism. Feminists tend to suggest ideas that contradict with the very nature of man. With modernization we have forgotten that we, as humans, belong to the animal kingdom and are in fact animals. Yet feminists act as if such an idea were degrading. If a man frequently has sex on his mind, a feminist will often degrade him as an "animal" or a "pig" or a "pervert."
Has everyone gone crazy? A curse is just a word like any other. Just because we choose an arbitrary word to associate with negative connotations, cursing in a formal situation evokes immediate shock. Why? It's just a word. If tomorrow it were deemed that a common word people use should be considered a curse, would everyone eventually avoid the word like the plague and act shocked upon hearing the word in an "inappropriate context?"
What is the problem if a male sees the genitals of the opposite sex and vice versa? Are we supposed to be ashamed of our natural bodies? And this idea leads me to another problem: plastic surgery. People who are unhappy with their bodies willingly accept mutilation (aka surgery) in order to "look better." Such people just end up looking fake and ruining their bodies. Back to my original point regarding etiquette...cursing, for some reason, is considered unacceptable in certain situations.
Another major problem I have with modernization is the stupid ideas that have resulted. For example, certain etiquette and "proper behavior" has been established at some point in history to such a strong degree that any behavior outside of such expectations is considered out of the norm and unacceptable. Take, for example, walking around naked. There is no problem with this. This is only a perceived problem because of society's expectations, and thus, you hardly see such an occurrence.
In fact, while the natural world may have been dangerous (greater chance of being killed by animals and less technology to defend ourselves), modern technology has dragged with it a new set of problems that never existed before. Here are a few examples: car accidents, plane crashes, nuclear warfare, biological warfare. There are a plethora of other examples as well. Perhaps one of the biggest problems with modern technology is the obesity epidemic prevalent in western culture.
Organic food, about as natural as it gets, is of course exploited by greedy capitalists searching for a profit rather than the interest of the health of the general public. Organic food is expensive and simply inaccessible for those who can't afford it. With the onset of the industrial revolution, pollution levels skyrocketed. The air and water became severely polluted and unhealthy with new technology and occupations, such as automobiles and factory work, respectively.
For example, rather than hunt for our food, we can readily access food at the local supermarket or fast food restaurant. Instead of performing physical labor to obtain what we need, most of us are sitting on our asses in cubicles for the standard 9-5 job. Even those of us who perform physical labor are not even close to a state of optimal health. Almost all of the food today is chemically altered and deprived of nutritional value.
I'm using a computer to spread my message because I can. However, I would still prefer a world without computers, or any technology for that matter. I obviously wouldn't be able to spread messages through the use of a computer and do all the other things technology enables if I were to live in a world without technology, but that doesn't matter to me. Technology has brought more harm than good if you ask me. With the advent of technology comes an increasingly sedentary lifestyle.
I completely disagree with all the pro-technology arguments here. Before anyone points out the supposed hypocrisy of my promulgating my message through the use of technology (a computer), I would like to state that my doing so is not contradictory to my argument. Yes, I'm using a computer, but that is simply because the technology exists and I have access to it. The fact that I'm using a computer doesn't necessarily suggest that I prefer a world with technology to one without it.
Maybe we should not hang into extreme ideas like either live with ALL technology or WITHOUT ANY of it. We should find a BALANCE, learn to live with technology but still respecting the nature around us (and ceasong destroying the planet and making our path towards suffering and extinction would be great) and the people around us as well.
The young girl is the serpent/satan who tempted the two to use the phone(like the serpent tempted eve to eat the forbidden fruit.) and when the man used it,the paradise was taken away from them(like how eden was taken away from adam and eve)
Hmmm..a world without technology. It be better for all of us.
@TRIXHOMO not realy without technology you would half to hunter and fight for your survive every day,you wouldnt be about to share thought and idea, we wouldnt be able to enjoy all exciting thing technology has brought. It would be like repeating one day over and over. You wouldnt get travel and see new thing, you would alway be stuck at the same place in woods or plain land. No music, no video, no clothes, no exiciting job, no thinking...
@watchinvideos123100 I agree man. i love technology, but we as human beings must think before we create new technology or we could doom our entire species.
We are not all lazy sheep who want great things handed to us so easily. Men are explorers, forever bettering ourselves through our own devices. Some of us like to earn paradise, not wonder blindly through it on someone else's bill, letting some mysterious entity have its way with us. Imo, he made the right choice, taking the harder route, getting back to the real nature of man instead of someone just being served. For all he knew, their paradise could have been at the cost of others suffering.
O, I see what's going on. The young lady is supposed to be the serpent from the bible and she is tempting them to use the phone so they'll miss up what they have going on.
So we see how anyone one of us would have blew paradise. When is enough enough. You have all that you want and then you want more? Doesnt make sense and neither do we. Without the intervention of a savior, the curse goes on. Good way to introduce the Adam & Eve story without preaching it. It is important that we know the why and the how so that we can repent. By the way, repent means to change in the Greek. Unless we repent, we are doomed to repeat our mistakes.
wow just imagine with our lives now revolved around techonology and its advancement if we ever got the chance to hit a break and live on paradise how long would it be before we convert back to the things that make our lives harder in their case over workers. question how long can we live without technology and is it the reason we are destroyed and destroying each other.

So the moral of the story seems to be:
1. Don't ever have a job you like. That means it's evil and you're hollow inside.
2. If you're ever kidnapped by the devil, it's the best thing for you?
Didn't the twilight zone stories used to have something to do with morality?
