There's nothing wrong with the chain, substituting it for some other form of collar wouldn't change anything, it's just some weird idea that a chain is somehow much worse because of symbolism or something. They're both just an easy means to restrain a dog which has the potential to be dangerous, it's only the people that make chains, or collars or anything else harmful for their animals, that should be obvious. Besides it's clear this dog wasn't even slightly worried about the chain.
This made me really sad to watch. If you don't think their meeting is safe then don't let it happen. If you do and you trust the dog then let a natural meeting occur. Its not right to make the older one submit to that little thing.
People so derpy. Choke chains aren't that bad.. :/ Anyway, careful with the little one with the big one. I once knew someone with a GSD and a yorkie, one day they came home and the yorkie was dead. They had been playing, since they were good friends, but it was an accident.. D:
