OHHH my God!!!!! I wish I could have been there, at this specific concert, I saw them live when they released "Songs of faith and devotion", however the 101 concert to me is just perfect!!!! They will always be masters!!!!! amaising!
indeed - the BEATLES admitted to 'fixing' the crummy Shea Stadium show. The acoustics were in fact as Gahan says in the film TERRIBLE at the Rose Bowl.
@molonlave2010 There is no difference in the vocals or the electronica from the LP's to the live shows. You can tell when Dave yells into the mic to the crowd how drastically different it is than his singing. Sorry, but true. Used to be a fan btw,
It is so clear watching/listening to this that most of what DM did live was lip-synch and fake along to the music. Very disappointing yet unsurprising. no Stone Roses
@jimshoez I understand your comment, but it is incorrect. You have that impression because this particular single, what you heard here, was studio-engineered. DM wanted to release this version as a single, and in order to do so, they had to take the version performed in Pasadena and "clean it up". At the actual concert, they were performing and singing live. Of course, it sounded a lot less "pristine" live (as this studio-engineered version has triple voice-overs for Martin Gore).
Yup, the vocals were specially pre-recorded for this show (so not the same as the LP) cause Gahan shat his pants when he undertstood has he was about to perform to 60 000 people. He did sang some of the songs live though on this concert. The instruments are all played live. I'm not sure if Martin's vocals were also pre-recorded. This is the only time they have had pre-recorded vocals on an actual live show. Hope this helped :)

I like the feedback from the crowd at the end. They should've kept the instrumentals going.
