Was living down in Huntington Beach (17832 Carranza Ln) in the summer of 1973 when I pulled into my driveway (driving my '72 Duster) and heard Jesse Colin Young's "Mornin' Sun" for the very first time. Of course as it turned out I had heard him before but had no idea he was a member of the Youngbloods back "in the day." It's been 38 years and I still love this song and "Song Bird" by Jesse. Man, there was some great music back when life was good, and simple!! Eh??

This song reminds me of Mona my beautiful woman who i let go in 1974. I was in a band then and we used to play in the garden of the house she lived in in Surrey.
Thanks for this song that reminds me of the morning sun coming in the window shining on her beautiful red hair.
