  • Some books from Stanislav Grof can be found in file-sharing network. Big part about Holotropic Breathwork at "Stanislav Grof - The Adventure of Self-Discovery" - senn the german translation "Stanislav Grof - Das Abenteuer der Selbstentdeckung: Heilung durch veränderte Bewußtseinszustände. Ein Leitfaden" as PDF.

  • Recent breakthrough linking Grof's work to the LANGUAGE of SOUND and LIGHT.

i.e. photons and phosphenes, (both of which NASA is VERY interested in)

  • @islandbuoy4 do you have any materials on that topic? I would be pleased to read something about it.

  • @virus3ds

have a look here is what I have put together so far...the pieces fit rather well.

how the esoteric/metaphysical is starting to mesh with mainstream science.

  • This new ti me

  • How can i find some online lessons of breathworking?

please send me a link in inbox , here i will forget to look.

  • @TheZburatorul its not meant to do it alone at home. at least you need a sitter, better a therapeut/expert to do the bodywork and to help you integrate your experience. i recommend to take part in aworkshop. A video is available at theoccult (.biz): Klaus John - A Trip to Inside - Holotropic Breathwork DVDRip

  • i think that these documentaries and this whole paranormal science thing would be considered much less mumbo jumbo if people stopped making videos with images and music that insinuate the occult and ancient hidden shit. just look at how they managed to transform psychology into a real science in the early 20th centuury!! empirical studies carried out by many people with the results show in a sober light... the marketing of these documentaries doesnt do their content any good...

  • Ive done it, its amazing!

  • Holotropic breathing - artificial thing, processes in an organism are accelerated. There are natural ways.

Nervous tension in struggle against the passions: when the man is not afraid to realize his unconscious conflicts, he meets (with courageous) projections of unconsciousness (sometimes - very terrible or seductive) - in 1000 times are more effective, because a breath is accelerated during these internal efforts according to laws of the nature. Spiritual progress become natural.

  • totally expected there to be a drug argument going on here

  • i want to do this? how can i find more about Holotropic Breathing!?

  • @12connection

The same way you find out more about anything.

You search, you study and you find...

He has written a few books on this subject. You should check them out.

    -Love & Gratitude-

  • @JuniorShaman i search but i have hard time finding anything...???

  • @12connection

    What!?

Then start looking in new places...

Search his name and it will lead you to his web-site. There are a lot of articles and stuff there. Good luck my friend.

  • @JuniorShaman tnx will do it, i need more friends that have same interests like you...

  • @12connection

Well, thank you. People often will never admit what they are really about, you know. Look around you, I'm sure you know what I mean.

Let me know if you found what you were looking for. If not, I think I have some books and videos on the subject you might find interesting.

    -Love & Gratitude-

  • What i think this technique does is stress the pineal gland which causes the person to have a milder form of a DMT trip, by oxygen deprivation the mind makes the body believe death is closer which is why the pineal gland secreates dmt. For example, DMT is shown to be extra active in our brains at the time of our birth, death and in dreams.

  • @BirdmanlBirdCage whether or not DMT plays a role in birth, death or dreaming is inconclusive. If you read DMT: Spirit Molecule, remember that Strassman says this himself. It is highly speculative. I think there's certainly enough reason to warrant investigation, and I myself am attracted to a lot of his hypotheses, but people seem to consider Strassman's book to be full of scientific fact, when it's really highly speculative; it asks questions.

  • @6sully8391 yup i feal u on that but scientific fact shouldnt be relied on all the time, if scientific fact said u live longer if u hold ur breath for 30 minits would u do it? i mean im just saying science isnt the answer to life.

  • @BirdmanlBirdCage Some people have turned science/scientists into god, which I think is stupid; the real skeptic should be skeptical of science. But you can't talk about DMT's role in anything without a scientific exploration. Scientific methods will determine whether or not DMT is released from the pineal gland at the moment of death, not one scientist's argument which is actually based on knowledge we have only because of science.

  • thats why weed is goooog 4 u

  • I wanna ty this so bad and I wonder if it truly gives u a natural trip or not cus i only smoke weed and scared 2 be trying other shit

  • @Im2pimpin Nature loves courage, what are you afraid of?

  • @BirdmanlBirdCage i wanna try shit like shrooms and lsd but im afraid to try em

  • @Im2pimpin

First of all, Psilocybin mushrooms and other natural plant hallucinogens are not "shit" my friend.. Most synthetic drugs like MDMA, Amphetamines and other test products from the laboratory are more like "shit" than anything.

And second, don't you ever be afraid of ANYTHING..!! Why would you...?

  • Mushrooms and LSD are almost one in the some (effects wise) and acid is synthesized from ergot meaning it's not completely natural in itself. Which brings me to MDMA. I believe they have both opened my eyes very much so for the better. They should both be respected. DMT (ayahuasca) is on my list to try with a shaman someday... Anyways awesome video, I'm going to try this

  • Another day, another technique. YAWN!

  • This seems to me just to be oxygen deprivation...?

  • Read Carl Gustav Jung also ! Unfortunately people study the psychiatry of Freud only...which is very reductionist.

  • In order to understand better Grof you must read Carl Gustav Jung first then David Bohm and Bernard Haisch and many other...

  • I wonder what kind of problems grof is talking about. For me solutions come from common sense and sometime from my unconscious. I won't be an unordinary state, I will just be doing something else like riding a bike and then the solutions pops up.

I think psychedelics are cool, but I think people who think its a religion are kind of kidding themselves.

  • He's referring to creative "problems" or obstacles, rather.

What he means is that you have to know a field well and you have to clearly understand what it is you're trying to achieve (let's say in painting or music) before you can use these non-ordinary states to give you a creative solution.

  • @Gamba2000

You clearly haven't done much research on the subject. Psychedelics have inspired many of the worlds religions. One of the oldest examples of this is Hinduism and the god Soma. Another example would be the Greeks and the Eulusian rituals.

Not only have psychedelics played an important role in religion, but they have also been used to make miraculous discoveries. Example: Francis Crick discovered the DNA helix on an LSD trip. Another example: Steve Jobs and the creation of Apple.

  • @Gamba2000 do your research going with a real shaman and have the experience by yourself.could you talk about orgasm to someone who has never had 1?

  • @AnomaLosAnoniMoS I could, doesn't mean they'll know what an orgasm is really like.

  • I think all the effect came from production of natural psychedelic drug DMT in the brain and it's much more simple to buy illegal DMT (if you know where :) .. )

  • Has anyone ever experienced an extreme vibrating sensation slowly enveloping your body while holotropically breathing?

  • @666Desolate999 the vibrations you are reffering to are vibrations leading to OOBE (out of body experience) or astral projection if you will...

  • I had a profound experience

  • It's not all that difficult. Two main rules are move as much air as you can and keep the breaths connected. In a nutshell....

  • Learning to die, as in the ancient tibetan book : how to get out of the four dimentional body prison.

  • Grof is one of my heroes. He has such a vast understanding of the psyche and altered states of consciousness. I highly admire his work and continue to spread his work.

  • @engram101

    Totally agree....He is a legend.

  • Гроф крутой, и холотропное дыхане- здорово, но где бы достать ЛСД?=))

  • у барыг

  • its more a superficial description, as you said if one really wants to do it one has to go to a seminar. will see where i can find such an offer and what the costs are..

  • Where can one find an instruction for holotropic breathing?

  • Yeah I wanna know too

  • You can find detailed instructions in Grof's book "The Adventure of Self Discovery." However if you wish to go for it seriously, you have to go through a approx. 10 stage training, given by GTT - "Grof Transpersonal Training."

  • i have that book, there are no detailed instructions in it :(

  • How come it's not there? In "The Adventure" it's chapter "Principles of Holotropic Therapy" - "The procedure of Holotropic Therapy" OR in "Psychology of the Future" it's chapter 5: "New Perspectives in Psychotherapy and Self-Exploration" - "Theory and Practice of Holotropic Breathwork" -the latter being perhaps even more detailed. There aren't any more detailed details. There is a "Holotropic Breathwork Facilitator's Manual", however this is available only for training participants.

  • If your going to use substances to experience this, dont be stupid. Trippin on cough syrup is for losers and kids who dont know better.

Save up your money, study, then take a trip to see a real shaman. And I dont mean your local hippy either. Go somewhere that you can trace its traditions and shamanic lines back a couple thousand years so you can experience the real deal.

  • Theoscience add me to friends so I can send you a message! lol!

  • Holotropic breathing is a great way to discover your true self. It did help me a lot... But please do not try to practice it yourself without a proper guidence. You need to have somebody at your side to help you to return back to this world..

  • I wish tripping really hard on shrooms lastnight and I drew a spiral on a paper

  • Are the tunnels worm holes or are they the

    intestinal track?)

  • I could go into a natural trance and see many

spirals and vortexes with shafts of energy running in and out. I never went through them. There was no color to them.I was either looking at the cones in my eyes or something like what Graf is relating to in this video or both.

  • Ancient Astronauts - you can download it with eMule. Good luck!

    :-P

  • hm.. never heard of holotropic breathing before.

Sounds great. I must try it [: ..since i cant find DXm anywhere.

  • DX what? Never heard about it neither....

  • You can't?? DXM is robitussin, it's everywhere! It's in Walmart, it's in drug stores.. come on...

  • there r no walmarts here in brazil... =/... but anyway, i'll take a look... or else i'll check the brazilian flora =)

  • @phlip77 I'm from Brazil too. Here, DXM is sold as a medicine called Benalet TSC, from Johnson & Johnson, but if you take the syrup as it is sold, you absolutely will feel nausea and discomfort in your stomach and intestine, probably because the sugars. This is personal experience.

So, if you want to use DXM, you have to extract it from the syrup or buy it online. I don't know if you can buy it in laboratories.

  • yeah yeah, remember this: rBGH(milk hormone), Aspertame(sweetner), tamiflu.

    Now that is dangerous!

  • @monkeys55 i think that TaHrPa meant DMT, not DXM, which is derived from opium (in some way or the other) ;]

  • @kangurzysty DMT is not derived from opium. It's found in certain plants and animals; things like acacia bark, or virola shoots and flowers; it also may be found in the brain, and could be the cause of dreaming. Whereas DXM is found in cough syrup... "...robitussin, it's everywhere! It's in Walmart, it's in drug stores... come on"

he is indeed referring to dextromethorphan hydrobromide otherwise known and stated as DXM.

Just so you don't confuse the two :) as they're VASTLY different drugs.

  • @jsltm888 duh, thats just what I meant, I didn't say at any point that DMT is derived from opium, thats what I said about DXM! For a spiritual trip, you would rather use DMT, no? Thats why I thought that someone confused DXM with DMT, because DXM is pure shit and I don't have the faintest clue why one should chose to ingest it;] I would never confuse the two, because (yes!) they are VASTLY different drugs;]

  • @kangurzysty Ah, okay. :) I misread your punctuation as you saying "DMT, not DXM, which is derived from opium." my B :D

  • @kangurzysty Actually DMT exists in every persons pineal gland. Dmt also exists in most plants and animals. DMT is extracted mainly from the ayahusca plant because of its large DMT content. Opium is a whole different thing.

  • @TaHrPa DXM is a dissociative anesthetic, there is nothing profound or insightful about it. I high un-recommend it.

  • @TaHrPa You said you couln't find DMT anywhere and were looking at holtrophic breathing. Well ..your brain is making DMT everyday and you go into the dreamstate. Maybe you would try to bring more awareness into the dreamstate. If you could become aware while dreaming you would be very surprised. Don't write off the dreamstate just because you are dumping memory evertime you leave it.

  • incredible!!!

  • Thanks, I'll be check back periodically.

  • Sorry man, I only have this part, if I get to know the entire name I'll let you know.

  • @phlip77 - i put this clip to the net - years ago with emule. It´s episode 144 of "science frontiers - ancient astronauts". user crippledfonzzz has the complete episode here: "Entheogenic Shamanism: Ancient Astronauts" 5 parts. You find this clip in part 2. Besides - dont miss Klaus Johns new DVD if you are interested in Holotropic Breathwork!

  • Does anyone know the name of the full video?

  • The show is called "Ancient Astronauts". I don't know who produced it. The full video used to be on Google Video but isn't anymore and I can't see it on any torrent sites. My copy was called "ancient astronauts shamanism consciousness".

  • THAT'S IT!!! THAT'S THE ONE!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! That's just the lead I needed. You Rock!!!!

  • This is a great video, I remember see it long ago. Could you post the entire video? That would be GREAT!!!

  • Try drumming.

  • my 7th and 6th chakras are so developed I don't need any substances to have my consciousness altered...

I take one hit of weed and I'm flying, never mind lsd

  • Excellent, I'm with you.

  • did you have to take a lot of acid to get that way?

  • Haha, thats also a nice way... try combinig it with the holotropic breathing maybe...

  • Actually, that sounds like a very good idea!

  • I find my Non-ordinary states with d-lysergic acid diethylamide
