  • Serenity is soo much like you, Misty! She is a smart capable girl..I am amazed how much you even know let alone Serenity who is only 12 but seems much older. You girls did a great job on cutting up & skinning those pigs. I wish I was there so I could learn, too. It's kinda hard learning from a video. Some things are just better learned while doing it. I sure appreciate this vid, tho, & looking fwd to seeing the lard rendering. Thank you!! from Angie in AR

  • @kokonutbaby1 Yes she is.....Thank you so much.....It is hard to learn from a video...Unless it is a full 2-3 hour video....Exahusting....lol...Thank you so much!!!

  • It is great to see a younger person wanting to do this kind of work. I remember having to do things like thin and not liking it, but am grateful I know how to now. Just found your channel thru LowBuckPrepper and am enjoying it.

  • @d37fan Thank you, she loves to do it.....Glad you found me thru LBP......

  • Love being Modest..we are the same!!! In a world where you cant even go to walmart without seeing someone that is nearly nude, it sure does help to know that there are others who love modesty also!!

  • @lolagurl1975 Thank you...

  • @lolagurl1975 Thank you!!!

  • my 9 year old son just saw this video and said he likes it and would give it a try thank you for the great video.

  • @nightprowlerch19 Thank you!!!

  • Hey Guys/Gals,, Just a little advice if you would like it, you can cut through the breastbone with your boning knife if you stand to one side and come up with the knife. The bones on that size of pig haven't matured yet, the same for the hip bone. Not trying to be a know it all but I have done literally thousands in my day. Just trying to make life easier..

  • @eaglehill6 Thanks for the info.....Thank you.

  • Can't wait for your lard making video. If you can, could you point out the "leaf lard?" Never quite understood the difference between leaf and other types of lard. Thanks.

  • @marchetta67 Thank you, I am gonna be doing it soon.....The lead lard is the best lard you get, it is the top, creamiest part....You would use this part for your pies, or finer part of your cooking....theyusually use the latter part for there soap making, but they do also use it all in cooking......

  • Wow! Will you be butchering your own hogs? Merry Christmas to you and your family. You are all such a blessing to us that watch your YTube channel.

  • @quilterinthewoods62 Yes we will....But we will go over to the community and they have a hog butchering bee every year.....Thank you....

  • If you arrived by 8:30 you're somewhere south of Route 13 in Illinois. I'm guessing closer to the Ohio or Wabash Rivers than the Mississippi. I think you folks were likely not far from me.

  • @TacticalSoleSurvivor LOL......

    Thank you so very much!!!

  • I'm happy to see that you guys believe in sparing the animal any pain. I've watched your video's about killing rabbits and chickens too. The other day I watched a few video's where a woman caused great pain to the animals she killed. It made me sick to see the animals suffer the way they did. Very slow and painful deaths. Bless you for the way you care for your animals. I've learned much from you. Subbed.

  • @rchopp Thank you so very much.....

  • Thank you for the video. It shows the life God gave us. +About that 'junk;'> it's only junk if it needs to be tossed-out. If there is a future use for 'stuff', it becomes necessary supplies or maybe even future antiques. You could tell the way the 'stuff' was laid-out; it was stored for possible future use. A true-hoarder will end up with just a huge pile of 'junk' without rhyme or reason.

  • @1023471965 Thank you so very much.....

    Yes how true....

  • your daughter did real well there I would be very proud! thats whats wrong with people today they have no idea what has to be done so they can eat meat I'm in the UK and if I did that with my children socail services would certainly have something to say about how I raise my kids.

keep up the good word love your videos

  • @MrCcrank Thank you so very much.....

  • Misty Mountmain and Serenity great job in the butchering I am proud to see others willing to tackle such a job I do have a sugestion. wal mart and other sporting good stores have a bung hole remover that inserts and pulls the large intestion out then zip tie it. makes clean gutting easy also if you lay the hog on a sturdy table for skinning and cutting up has worked better for me for some reason. I still hang deer and other game. Thank you all and keep up the good work

  • @jethrob34 Thank you.......Thanks for the info.....

  • Great Vid. My hats off to Serenity. She got right in there and got her done.
