It's a crying shame that these guys aren't huge stars. Search YouTube for their acoustic version of "Saving Grace." You have multi-millionaires like the Black Eyed Peas spewing AutoTuned crap and talent like this is largely unknown.
sixwire is made up of real talented artist who just havent seem to get there 1 good break yet they are amazing at what they do and they all do seperate work that is very good and can be seen around the world with seperate artist like dolly parton richard marx and randy owens they also play the preds games ha for fun they do this cus they love music this isnt saying they r amazing but this is very very amazing listened to live u should here them go to sixwire.com
@MrCluckingchicken - do you feel better now. thats a lot of postulation going on.
Sixwire are good musicians no doubt about it. They question of artistry is another thing all together. I personally dont take them to be real artists. It;s just my opinion, of course I am right - LOL. Massive Attack is an example of good artistry as in a new sound, and not caving in to regional tendencies (country).
@MegaMixking Just want to point out that Sixwire is actually not one of the many bands caving in to the new tendencies, such as country as you said. They've actually been around for 8 or 9 years. In 2002 they came out with a single titled "Look at Me Now" that got mediocre recognition. They didn't make it very big however so they stick with doing little shows like this one. Just wanted to correct that little piece of info :)
im most likely buying one of these solidbodies, but next time, get them better amps for the show, sounded like they were having trouble cutting through the mix the way they should.
either that or your sound guy was completely hell bent on keeping the mix too flat across all instruments. edit: wait i see the problem. dude on the right playing a spider valve. that amp is notorious for not cutting thru the mix. especially when its competing with what looks like a mesa roadster combo.

@MegaMixking -- i agree with you. if one honestly expresses a disdain for a type of music, smart musicians will try to ;learn from that. this six stringband is a good cover band and many of the tones are pretty spot on. no way on the stones though, these guys dont understand the depth or the tones involved. the country stuff they nailed. but in the larger scheme these guys are boring and no one cares and it doesnt mean I am jealous. It Means i feel for them.
@MrCluckingchicken which is why you took off time from flying to critique my critique.but i guess you are a chicken instead of an Ostriche. Its all good brother.
@MegaMixking Chicken are poultry. Poultry cannot type. I can obviously type. There for I am not poultry and therefor I am not a chicken. Your argument is invalid and you are stupid sir.

They are playing all the songs I hear over and over all over again! But they are doing a fine job. Andy Childs has a killer voice.

One thing about critics: Most critics are Ostriches who teach flying.

I LOVE that Koa GS, it sounds amazing! That was a great video, it really showcased the solid bodies, lol, in a "non-conventional" way.

quite possibly one of THE best things these guys have ever done...and considering how much they've done, that's something to think about.
