I don't know what they are called but we have those plants all over the Texas soutwest desert. I din't think there was anything special about them.

do massive flowers come out of them coes my grandma has one on her front yard and its alot bigger than that one and has a massiv stalk coming out of it over 10 meters tall in like a few months never seen that happen to it, its its over 20 years old
