@equitatus The 1978 version is black and the 1997 style is clear. The only reason I know is the copyright date on the clear one I have says 1978, 1997. The 97 version is better because it takes four C batteries and the battery door won't fall off.

I remember constantly saying i wanted a Simon says, and when i finally got it for my birthday, this version is the one i got bc it had just came out that year. I didnt like the color scheme to it at all. I wanted the Intense Black with Hot Red, Dark Blue, Green, and yellow. Not some see thru girly looking version. Man i was dissapointed lol. I still want the original simon.

@259 Not really, this game, you had to memorize the pattern and repeat it back to the machine in order. Guitar hero, you just had to play the pattern as it rolled. No memorizing
