  • That wasn't really that bad! American accents are sooo hard to do, I'll give you that. Unless you were born with it, good luck trying! Lol

  • Doesn't help when you got a poof Aussie accent from the start.

  • sorry... but Not Even Close !!

  • awwww that was so cute. Good luck learning to speak american accent, you were doing fine except for the pauses. Just a tip, you need to curve your tongue a bit more for you to get that American 'r' like in em-BARK, and not em-BAHK . God bless!

  • haha this is a rather entertaining video.

    not bad!

  • You look like that guy in Summer Heights High.

  • ahh man it so good to have a americn dad and a australian mum xD

  • ahaha turn on the air con

  • Not bad...keep workin' on it (your American accent, that is...). My Aussie accent could use some work, too, to be sure! You Texas accent is NOT very realistic, but, hey, as y'all say Down Under, no worries, mate! Just keep on keepin' on---or---(as, again, y'all say Down Under, good on ya, mate! Best wishes always!

  • mate thats shocking, i can do better than that, it embark not embaaak or corner not cooo-wn-a. if you want to go from Aussie to yank.

  • I like it better with the Aussie voice

  • hehe

  • lol you're right, the stuff after you were reading was a lot better accent wise. the texas one could use some work though.

  • nice try mate, I have an Aussie accent too but I've been in the US since I was a little boy, so my accent is a mix between Australian and American, it's hard for me to revert back to the Aussie accent to which I love. Good try though, American is hard though. So many different ways of talking, Hawaiian, California, Texan, Deep south, New York, Boston... many different American accents...

  • @ERAUPRCWA Precisely! I'm from Texas, and have to struggle to do, say, a Boston or Maine accent (or even CA accent). Having lived in NY for 8 yrs on-again, off-again, my New York is fair, and I can do a Deep South one fairly well; but even here, u have, say, Atlanta vs. New Orleans, dig? So when u throw in Canadian, Brit *&* Aussie (not to mention Kiwi, which is similar to Aussie), then, oy!, u have a *lot* of variations to try to get down-pat! Good on ya!

  • Hey =D

Seeing as your from Australia you will know what im talking about lol.

You look like chris lilley from summer heights high.

    =D

  • HAHA thats so true,

  • Sounds trans-atlantic :) good try though. it's convincing.

  • Can you make a video of you doing a Philly or Boston accent? I would love to see you do those!!!

  • mist-eer-ee-uhs

  • what the shit do you know how to read

  • lol

  • Good try. You're American accent is good. It sounds more like Califronian. Texans would of course say otherwise, because they have that southern-like accent. There's alot of different American accents. So, yeah, yours sounds Californian. BTW, I'm from Cali.

  • nice try ;)

  • Give him a break guys. He's trying.

  • dude, im aussie and even i find that annoying

that to me, didnt sound very american at all, just an annoying lisp with some weird voice.

  • lol... it's weird to hear someone try to do an american accent. i guess it's hard for people who aren't from the US to do our accent. maybe because it's so dull unless you have a southern or new york/jersey accent. people that are foreign to us have such a different accent that you can definitely pick out. i dunno... some advice would be to not think of it so hard, when you were rambling it was much much better... haha i still think it's weird to hear someone trying to do a US accent!

  • Yeahhh, I've lived in Texas all my life. I don't know anyone who speaks like that. Even the hicks man. Wow, is this really what people in other countrys think of us? :/

  • Pretty good American accent. Of course a Texan would disagree, half the time most of the US can't understand what the hell the people in the South are talking about.

  • i'm texan, we don't talk like that shit.

  • you really aren't doing that badly!

You know though we have alot of accents. Northern, Southern, Western, Mid America, Mid Western, and Hoosier<-[that would be mine]

I think you did well. :3

You know, I'm trying to learn the Australian accent right now. I want to become a voice actor and I find that learning accents make it alot easier.

    Enough rambling. Good job!

  • lol hope it goes well for you !! ive herd that the australian accent is quiet difficult to pick up !! a good way to get the australian accent almost perfect when saying "g´day mate" try saying "good eye mite" and that should get you going lol :P

  • @Bristy

woah you's really have that many different types of accentss ;LL awesomeee,

  • @Bristy Americans tend to pronounce every letter,so car would be pronounced "c/k-arrr" while Australians would say it as "c/k-ahr"(lighter).

Think of it as being lazy with your words.

    Hope this helps.

  • What regional dialect of America were you going for?

  • you cant talk right in the first place

  • whoa lol when you just ramble its like no accent but when you were reading i could kinda hear your accent but haha you were good oh btw an australian accent kicks an american accent's butt any day so be happy bc your luckyy lol =] haha come out to california and you could get so many girls just on your accent alone ;]

  • eww, its annoying.

  • pAUL! WHAT'S UP MATE?

  • great cobbie......you rock.....!

  • you're really good!

  • You didn't sound vey American.

  • you got it

  • So in Australia can you guys spot out an American from a mile away if you heard them talking? [Not that anyone can hear someone talking from a mile away or anything but... I hope you get what I'm saying. XD]

  • hey,

yeah, Americans are spotted from a mile away ! its generally because Americans tend to be really loud people. just naturally loud, and there strong accents along with it, doesnt help :D its not just Australians that spot you out, its everyone

  • Americans have 1000 accents...haaaaaa! Mass for example....pock the ca while I go in the ba! Influence of the Irish..haaaaa. I myself is inflenced by the Cokneys, but I speak well. I guess I can say that.

  • We do have a lot of accents! Actually, I'd rather have an Australian accent, though.

  • @turtalfishpaul

    mile=kilometer

    kilometer=kilometre

    now its aussiefied

  • haha this is amazing.

I find it so funny how you have a hard time speaking the way I do like all the time.

I'm from canada, I was wondering if you think we have a different accent than americans? (:

  • HA! i know what u want to hear :P,I can tell the difference most the time but only because my sister-in-law is Canadian, but 99% of the populations assumes that Canadians are Americans just basted on their accent, and normally the 1st question asked is:"where abouts in America are you from"lol ive insulted a few Canadians in my time with that question:D

im normally alot better when reading things with an American accent, but as soon as the camera starts filming,it goes all down hill from there:P

  • so true, you can ace any accent you want, but if you aren't used to doing it in front of a camera, everything just goes to crap, haha

  • LAMO You're funny ;]

  • Haha, this is really interesting. You were pretty good when you were speaking naturally, but your normal voice suits you much better. I never really think of the way I speak as being difficult (I'm from connecticut), but at the same time I can't even manage to say "no" properly when I'm trying to do an aussie accent, which is why you will never catch me attempting to do one on camera. Anyway, pretty good!

  • blah blah the flier owned you nub

  • lol thats hilarious! i didnt know americans had the tendency to be very loud when we speak....have you ever been to america?

  • so is the american accent annoying?lol im just wondering since i will never be able to hear my own accent :D

  • haha, thats a funny question ! it depends on the individual, i mean personally i dont find it annoying, well no at times i can, as americans have the tendancey to be rather loud, so at times it can be over powering, so that is annoying :P but some people love it but also some people hate it.

  • hey that was a pretty good job...does the california accent sound different to you guys or just a general american accent?im from cali thats why im asking :D

  • hey

i would have to hear them one after the other to really pick the difference, but from memory, is sounds a little different ,like the general accent with alittle bit of texan sounding lol but not, i donno :P

  • why did you bother the american accent is so stupid just like the americans them selves

  • you're so rude!!! how do you "all" americans are like that..you're a typical stereotypical person

  • american accent is dumb many americans are dumb but not all, people from texas are morons mostly.

  • Hee Hee! Pretty good for a start! For a second there, I thought you were actually American :)

  • Sorry mate,im not British! im Australian!

you that huge island down the bottom of the globe ! im from that! :D there is nothing rong with the british though, you cant generalize there accent !! there is such a large scale, there is the cockney accent, and then you have a formal accent, just to mention a few, its like the USA, there are so many accents like the Bostonian and NY accent ! 1 cant say they are all the same !! that would just be ignorant !

  • Oh...wow! That's wicked, mate! Why can't I master the Australian accent as you do the generic American accent?!

  • hehe. i can do it well. wait... i am australian... lol.

  • "Embox..Embax..Imbox"

haha. i find it soo funny

    but good job =]

  • haha I love seeing people trying to speak the american accent :P I totally love austrailian better though ! Its so hott

  • embarks arrrr not aa lol

    great job though.

  • LOL omg im from texas hahaha we dont talk like that!!! hahahaha nah ur cool man good job!

ahh but wait yeaaa never mind...some ppl in north texas talk like that

  • haha omg thats so funny seeing someone trying to speak with an American accent...good job! but your Australian accent is soooo hot so keep it :)

  • thts good

  • psh. our aussie accents rock. :].

but you did a really good job. hehe you sound like an american and its scary :|

    but its good ;D

  • LOL

I really like the Australlian accent....why would you try to do an American accent...when you have THAT. :)

    haha neways, nice try though.

  • lol good job!! haha, you're right, you can definetely do it better when you're do squabbling on! i'm actually an australian with an american accent (too much tv as a kid) so i kno there's a huge difference between the two! AWESOME job!

  • lol yeah i reckon! i've had people ask me if i'm american. i blame that on TV :)

  • omg wow your amazing when you just started talking

  • you did a good job trying dude total props to ya.

  • lol that was tooooooo cute

    although i love scottish accents

aussies are working their way up

lmao and yeah SouthCentralVARudie is sooooo right

most of the ppl are majoooor idiots here

    =/

  • Wow that was pretty good!

  • thanks ! lol

  • Yeah, you do it almost perfect mate! In spite of the fact that English is not my first language, I also tried American accent and I must say that it's not so hard to do. Particularly if I listen to a lot of american stuff - that's obviously very helpful. Can you do some... posh British as well? :D

  • yeh, i can do a both kinds lol well i no there is more, but i more do a london and a standard english accent n i can also do a posh accent alsobut not as good though, but i can do like yorkshire and newcastle stuff.

  • hahahaha nicee!

    you're fit btw lol x

  • lol thanks :)

  • i heard kanye in the background - is American music popular in Australia?

  • yep, u get it n then 3 weeks later it starts on the charts here ! u can google world music charts n it will tell u wats in the us n u can compare, i dont like the kind of music that get in australia generally im more into indie bands, ones that dont hit the radio in aus.

  • actually, AS an American I can tell you the majority of people here are morons

  • HAHA thats gold !!

  • youre funny~

  • you are a disgrace......bt your cute too +_+!!lmao

  • lol! im glad ur not american! lol! u sound gay as an american! lol! better as australian! lol!

  • hey buddy no offense but you look like kiko, you know who kiko is? is a Mexican comedian very very famous...go to you tube and search "kiko psy" and then you would see that guy look exactly like YOU LOL

  • When you finally got it down it was pretty good. Your o's were kinda off, and please don't ever try Texan accent again! Texans shouldn't even be speaking in that accent! All in all once you had it flowing, you did a good job!

  • you are a disgrace

  • ok yes, it did sound kind of bad, but americans probably sound like dumbasses too when trying to impersonate australians :-P

    very good try, though!

  • hey everyone, stfu, he has braces

  • your fucked

  • ur an embarrasment to australia and its people

  • poof

  • u are officially the gayest "thing" ever to be seen in this fkn world.

    YOU ARE A JOKE.

  • I bet you can't do an Australian accent any better...

  • what the fucks wrong with you

  • What's wrong with YOU?

  • ur a homo

  • So are you...

  • get fucked u arrogant kent. ur fucken shit and lame

  • Do people in other countries really think that doing an American accent is that cool? Over here people think that a British (or Australian, or New Zealand, or whatever) accent is pretty cool.

  • No, in oz, we will talk like that when we are trying to sound dumb, eg a blond chick.

we have come used to the american accent coz they are the "world leaders" .some people liek the sound of the american accent then others dont coz it is associated with ignorance/ Arrogance in general coz of the way some tv shows will pick on americans for their stupidity (not saying they all are). but all in all, some like the american accents others don't.

in saying all that we don't hate the americans. :D

  • wtf dude you think about stuff to night.

i hate the americans except for like brian deegan and the rest of the mulisha.

  • Why do people think of Americans as dumb?

  • i think its that they are branded that way because Americans are ignorant to the world around them, in saying that im not personally attacking you, its just wat people see, eg , go into youtube and type in dumb american or stupid americans etc,

  • america's a world in itself, and a young one that's pretty isolated from the Old World. to be honest many american's are too caught up with their own lives and the noise of living in America to be too concerned with the outside world.

  • wouldnt that be their downfall then ? i know life can be very busy ! but you cant live in ignorance. you need to know wats going on around you. eg in australia, we are isolated physically! for us to get to another country we have to fly a minimum of 5 hrs, but most people still no wats going on round them, i admit we arnt a awsome nations but nor are we crap one. but one still need to be aware of there surroundings. just an opinion :D

  • australia's a great nation! :D

i agree yeah lots of americans do live in ignornace and it could very well be their downfall. every nation has it's ignorant masses, our's just happens to be in power at the moment lol :D

  • australia is great! Never been there but its awesome, i do strongly believe that ignorance could very well be their downfall, and i observe the world and people around me, so i see, not many people are really aware, i hate that, and yes, i do realize that im in the states right now, but i wasn't born here. And even though america is very high-tech and "all that" their weakness is ignorance. People should realize that by now.

  • If you hear someone on TV speak in an american accent or a Brittish accent you dont really notice it at all, but if you actually talk to someone in real life who is Brittish or american and has the accent then yeah it does sound cool and is a bit of a novelty, I think its because we are used to hearing Brittish/American accents on TV in Australia but when u hear the accents in real life, its like woow that sounds cool! :P

  • pffff dont you dare to get rid of the australian accent! (NEVER EVER!)

the american accent is so boring.

i mean, its good to know a lot of them, but dont go around "using" the american accent cos the australian one is WAY WAY WAY "betta mate!"

  • i would have to say the oppisite, well i mean the aussie accent is good when its not heaps strong eg like mine, but when u mean a "bogan"/yobo and its really prominate then it doent sound good!

now an american accent can be boring, but again its not, i dont like the really strong accents like boston or texan.

i would have to admit i like the british accent, not cockney but more upper class

  • there's nothing wrong with cockney accent to be quite honest cos i clearly understand them, it's the scouse and geordie accent i dislike the most cos i cant understand a word of wtf they're sayin.

  • Dude, I dont think you get it, I'm going to try to describe youre voice to you, not your accents, your personal voice. it sounds like you've been eating shit all day, and then you brushed your mouth out with a dick. However there is still alot of shit in your mouth and youre finding it hard to speak. So dont talk about what accents are annoying and what arnt, because you are a discrace to australia and you have enough metal in your mouth to build a Go-Kart.

    fuck you.

  • OMG i cannot believe how hostile you are!!! Look, i am sure your daddy is sorry that he raped you, and your mommy wishes she loved you more... now stop taking your horrible childhood out on other people!

  • Great job. i just want to tell you though its A.C. not air con.

  • at the end , it was good. :P

  • haha, nice try bud. :] good video

  • :D thanks !!

  • its alright, you need to work on your R's keepin tryin

  • it seems to be as soon as i know im gettin films i stuff up, lol my sister in law is canadian and she says it sounds spot on with a few errors here n there but yeh, im better at a brittish accent though :D

  • America is awesome! VIVA LA AMERICANA!

  • How guileless you sound, my compatriot.

  • hahaha youre awesome! U TRIED! :D =)

  • That was fun to watch. You pulled it off in the end pretty well. I am American and did a video response in English. It was fun to try and pull off. :)

  • money

  • HAHA! WOW! That was fantastic!! Yeah, your accent seems better when you're just talking naturally instead of reading. I'm quite impressed!!!
