@gregboyds I haven't uploaded anything recent though. Most of those vids are very old. Well, I used to think chickens were scary! A friend had them and I was afraid to touch them! I thought they were intresting though.. There's a livestock auction out here and I wanted to go see the goats there. I stopped by the poultry and I was fascinated. Then I started doing some research, and somehow I talked my parents into getting some. From that auction I aquired 8 chicks. Then the obsession began. :)

In other states like Georgia, poultry owners would have problems like raccoons, opossums, minks, hawks, and even owls. The west coast has it's perks if you're a poultry person.

@gregboyds I haven't uploaded anything recent though. Most of those vids are very old. Well, I used to think chickens were scary! A friend had them and I was afraid to touch them! I thought they were intresting though.. There's a livestock auction out here and I wanted to go see the goats there. I stopped by the poultry and I was fascinated. Then I started doing some research, and somehow I talked my parents into getting some. From that auction I aquired 8 chicks. Then the obsession began. :)

I do give respect to some rednecks though. I have met some on poultry forums. Very knowledgable people! I've learned alot on chickens from others that live in the Georgia mtns rather than someone living in an urban area out here.

@firechick66 I am a chicken person with a couple of goats and ducks. It's quite the hobby. I'm even breeding my own stock of silkies for 4-H :) and FFA..
The goats are just there to keep both the birds and I company. Where I live the only predators would be feral cats and other people. In other states like Georgia, poultry owners would have problems like raccoons, opossums, minks, hawks, and even owls. The west coast has it's perks if you're a poultry person.
