I seriously can't stand CosmicPanda. I remember back when the old channels were being replaced by the shitty beta channels, but as time went i preferred the beta channel overall and felt like the old channel design was actually not as good, the change was for the better. But these CosmicPanda channels are so ugly and lame, they remind me of Twitter which i think sucks balls. Makes me wanna suck a chode on a stick. I fail at rhyming.

Why I hate it. Know you can't change it,but I'm gonna say it anyway sorry about this. Harder to look through videos. Reason? Big bulky shit everywhere,for example thumbnails are much bigger. It's harder to decorate. Less on a single page,so harder to move through. People just plain aren't used to it,SO WHY WOULD THEY? No reason to,doesn't actually make anything better.I'm going to leave mine as it is because I know Youtube doesn't really care but I hope they'll actually see people go against it.
I don't particularly care about them getting rid of my friends and calling them contacts now. I don't care that youtube is grey now. I don't care about the new homepage layout. I'm irritated that they're FORCING me to switch to the new channel layout, it's stupid. But we'll get used to it and accept it given time, like we got used to all the other changes.

Since they started this new layout thing, I watch less videos, because It's more complicated to find the videos I want to see. Because the friends/subscribers pages disappeared, my new videos are getting only 30% of the views. I see nothing but a gray room without furniture or any decoration. Depressing, annoying and it doesn't make any sense, because it's bad for the views. It means people earn less money and Google/Youtube getting less money. It's a risky and suicidal business project.
Not to sound like a spammer or anything but to whoever comes across this comment, my friend found this awesome video sharing website called Zipcast.com, the channel layouts are almost identical to the classic YT layout. If YT's pissing you off then I'd recommend checking that site out.

I think the new format is better, why?
1) The FEED functionality actually has a purpose now.
2) The previous channel format was abused to all how by people that make it look ugly as shit. Though I dont like the lack of customization the new format has as far as colors, etc. the format is much more uniform looking and now when I go to a channel I dont have to worry about the old myspace syndrome of people making their channels ugly and unreadable as fuck.
The layout is simpler to use because it's been stripped of damn near all of it's functionality. That's like saying a butter knife is more simpler to use than a Swiss Army knife. Does that make the butter knife better?
@TheArchfiend The new layouts obviously save space because of a few simple reasons, 1: the Channel Comments are only displayed on an entirely seperate page so it uses less CPU (I think anyhow) to change it to that then using it as is, also, they removed the friends box and they moved your content. That being said, the Feed is annoying because it displays information in a way you wouldn't normally find it, science even shows your eyes are more naturally drawn to the left side-
@TheArchfiend So basically, youtube doesn't want the viewer to know ANYTHING about the person whom they are watching, they literally made it so that finding your information and such on the right hand side is harder to find versus when it was on the left, they did this so they can (this comes as no shock) get more views on your videos! Hey Archfiend! I don't think it's a good idea to let us "get use to" the new channel format. It would be much better to just keep the original as long as you can (until March). If it weren't for the monetization options we wouldn't see half as much awesome content that is available--and surely being created right as we speak--on this website. People do have a tendency to fight against change. I like the main page changes. I tried the cosmic panda layout on my channel and I found it not very community-friendly. Everything that was interactive seems to have gone away. That pisses me off. It's already so hard to get exposure in the site and "steal" the spotlight from the current partners, this layout seems to make it even worse.
Why couldn't they just implement the Cosmic Panda video views. When you first said you didn't like cosmic panda, I didn't think that meant the channels. I liked the video pages but they didn't bring that out.

I actually don't think the new design is that bad. Like you mentioned, people will keep coming to this website no matter what. So it's understandable that Youtube takes the liberty to make changes that are convenient for them, and ignore the general opinion. And no one is gonna leave because of this, that is just complete BS. Youtube is still one of the best sites on the internet and it will just keep growing.

@TheArchfiend Agreed. The old channel layout was pretty much perfect a few days ago as far as I was concerned. Channels were easily customizable and therefore, distinguishable from one another and we were given easy access to our subscriber's content.

Hey I have an Idea! We should create a site in which we host our videos on youtube and embed them, and just use the other site instead of youtube. That way Youtube gets stuck with all the bandwidth, and we can comment and have pages with a better layout, and have stuff featured that's actually worth watching instead of this Lady Gaga and Onision shit, and give a giant FUCK YOU to Google and Youtube for trying to force this shit on us.

Personally the only thing going for the Cosmic is it looks sleek. Honestly when comparing Beta (?) to Cosmic, I can truthfully say C looks nicer.
That is the only thing it has going though.
It is highly less functional, and it makes so much content a quest to find.
Granted, there are a few aspects from C I like. Such as multiple sites that you have.

Though I dont like the lack of customization the new format has as far as colors, etc. the format is much more uniform looking and now when I go to a channel I dont have to worry about the old myspace syndrome of people making their channels ugly and unreadable as fuck.

@TheArchfiend The new layouts obviously save space because of a few simple reasons, 1: the Channel Comments are only displayed on an entirely seperate page so it uses less CPU (I think anyhow) to change it to that then using it as is, also, they removed the friends box and they moved your content. That being said, the Feed is annoying because it displays information in a way you wouldn't normally find it, science even shows your eyes are more naturally drawn to the left side-

People do have a tendency to fight against change. I like the main page changes. I tried the cosmic panda layout on my channel and I found it not very community-friendly. Everything that was interactive seems to have gone away. That pisses me off. It's already so hard to get exposure in the site and "steal" the spotlight from the current partners, this layout seems to make it even worse.

Hey I have an Idea! We should create a site in which we host our videos on youtube and embed them, and just use the other site instead of youtube.
