This is simple, you order thinkpads from tigerdirect, techforless, or newegg. Top Notch companies with great customer service. I gurantee you won't have to worry about dealing with lenovo, or if your system is messed up. techforless even offers a 30 day gurantee, also Based out of Colorado and to some states you won't have to pay a sales tax. In my state I don't, as well with newegg. The thinkpads are cool running notebooks, durable, linux/unix support. Its the company that controls the product
I had got a T61 14.1",*New* from the outlet. When I got the system, everything seemed sealed, accept the Top LCD Cover was warped. Sent to Depot in Memphis, Tenn, they sent it back quick, not fixed. Sent it a 2nd time on a raid status, still wasn't fixed. Situation was then escalated to the customer complaint dept, Steve Grisom, and Gregg. They were not much help at all. Issue took 2 months to resolve, waited for a refund check because Brazil credit services couldn't credit my bank card.
I just ordered one and it took them 8 business days to change the status from submitted to processing. Even then there's no ETA. This is terrible, I better get this laptop before the semester is over.
Haha, I guess this news is brought you by Dell. I know someone order a Dell in early November last year, but get it late January in 08. She did not complain about it. And Dell dominate Canada. But this will help Lenovo improve their service.
Dell is the best??? not likely... its ugly like hell... Dell was also having problem with delivery when it first rolled out its online ordering system.... its part and parcel of using new online IT system...
