  • great story-teller!

  • Reagan was great. Wish we had him in office for the next 60 years.

  • God I loved this man, what a joke Obama is.

  • Ok, never a big fan of Reagan but it is refreshing to hear self-deprecating humor. He also NAILED Mondale in that debate....and the "sip of the water" was priceless after.

  • it looks like the his neck collar is too big

  • The first one in on a moment of tension, I can do that too

  • Makes me wish his adopted son, Michael would run.

  • Bush Sr on the left and Tip O'Neil on the right.

  • Reagan represented that kind of America, witch is liked and respected all around the world - may He rest in peace. Greetings from Hungary.

(14 dislikes date back to before the end of the Cold War...)

  • Under Ronald Reagan a Repubilcan, we had the greatest job growth in American

History! Millions of jobs with sound policies, low taxes for job creators to hire workers.

Obama is the AntiReagan! He will Raise taxes on job creators, government forced

health care, If re-elected he will take all freedom away!! For a government controlled

nation! Vote his ass out in 2012!!

  • he was a great story teller. I wonder who wrote his stuff

  • as a liberal you still have to give it to Reagan, what an amazing man in american history

  • @oldschoolhunter Actually I'm more conservative than Reagan or any of the neo-cons in office and in media today. Sorry, I'm actually for the states rights, personal liberties, balanced budgets and constitutional levels of federal authority. Basically, the definition of conservative. As a result, I can't get behind Reagan, Bush (or Obama since you mentioned him).

  • @FiveInchTaint Personally, I don't feel the need to be any more conservative than Reagan. Not that he was perfect, nobody is, but I'm quite sure he embraced the ideals that you listed. (BTW...I don't think you need to be sorry for it either) Obama shouldn't be mentioned in the same breath as most presidents or even on the same page as Reagan; He's only good at campaigning for president, not being one.

  • Oh that sweet, sweet wonderful man! Is there no other like him? If there is, we must find him IMMEDIATELY!!!

  • 8.27 Pure love.

  • Amnesty for illegals, massive spending with massive deficits? Yeah, awesome president. You guys need to turn off talk radio. Real conservatism is about less government. Yeah, he's funny and has an excellent delivery, but results determine greatness. He simply didn't deliver.

  • @FiveInchTaint yeah and give obama another 4 years, right? get real democrat

  • @TheEcat777 in the words of the great Ronald Reagan: Aw shut up....

  • Where are you Reagan?? it is obvious we need you today!!! Don't be sad our Kenyan puppet will go by the end of this year!!!

  • This guy should have already been President of the United States in 1968 long before 1980.

  • one of the best damn leader in the history of mankind.

  • You can see his Reagan's smirk building up for the first 30 seconds of this video

  • @beepandbop your right buddy! there the ones that control economic growth.

  • We miss you, Rawhide

  • Just simply GREAT!

  • GREATEST PRESIDENT IN AMERICAN HISTORY.

  • Pretty easy to pick out negatives from ANY presidency. I have yet to know president who made every living soul happy. In this case, we see you jump on interest rates. Doesn't change the fact he was a great president...and obviously WAY more genuine than anything we see today. To criticize over one thing and ignore all the other great thing just drips with blind party allegiance and ignorance.

  • Ahhh yes, 18 percent interest rates, how quickly we forget.

  • I will say Reagan had a great sense of humor. He could make fun of himself. Whether you liked him or not or agreed or didn't agree, he was a very funny man. Obama shouldn't try to be funny. Obama isn't at all.

  • Great actor and orator for sure. Many posting comments seem to forget about double digit interest rates, recessions in 81-83 (and again in 91-92). But whatever....

  • @skepticismjoe God bless you, whoever you are. I feel your sadness for this (once having been a great country). I hope Romney will be our next president. He's no Reagan, but at least he will help this country gain some respect and dignity once again. We had enough "change" for the past 4 years.

  • "Reverend.. you should have seen it when the lord was doing it himself..."

    Classic.

  • Imagine if Obama and Boehner had the relationship Reagan and Tip O'Neill had.

  • Ronald Reagan the best president ever

  • I'm an Independent political person, and I'm wondering if Reagan really did make the economy flourish. I can see that he was a humble and humorous man, but did his economics work?

  • @HalaHadean23

well, he turned around the catastrophy known as stagflation that plauged the country during the 70s, and the 80s was a period of strong economic growth followed by the 90s which was another very strong period of growth. Economic policies continue to affect the development even after they are introduced, so the 90s would have been weaker without Reagan.

  • @HalaHadean23

So the fact is, there were no bad effects afterwards since the 90s were strong, and the period when he governed was a period of strong development to.

So all the empirical data certainly supports the view that regans policies worked. the 80s were strong, and the 90s were even stronger.

  • @HalaHadean23 yes he created 20 million jobs do your own research

  • Will there ever be another man like this man. With humor and intelligence and his faith. He made you proud to be an American.

  • Hey, this president could actually put together a coherent sentence and he wasn't a liberal pussy.

  • This is a class act! Where have all the great leaders gone?

  • What a president he was and a simple man he was but

he wasn't a common man, he was a very special person

who knew how get things done.

    Thanks for posting...

  • I love this man and his humor. This is what we need during these stressful political times.

  • They should add Mr. Reagan at Mt. Rushmore

  • @armandohdz1218

Then we'd have to put Thatcher and Paul II up there along with him.

  • @armandohdz1218 I agree he is one of the great presidents of all times!

  • we were lucky to have him .. someone who really cared about america. no mistresses.......no taking envelopes of cash etc. iran contra was his biggest 'scandal?" Id take him today over any dem or repub

  • @mikefan09 huh?

  • This is just funny!!!

  • Oh, how I miss this great leader, man, human!

  • All though you could have different views regarding his politics .... He certainly was a real STATESMAN .... and as you see .... FUNNY too :-)

  • I love how Nancy just looks at her man with so much love!!

  • will i am from Cali So Cal i need to get involved in local gov and be a patriot like him!! and make bunch of jokes if i am elected at school and at work i make funny jokes i will do the same in press media and in the white house some day.

    No telepromnters either..

  • if i was 13 years old during the reagan years, i would have watch every single state of the nation address to hear his logical knowledge and good jokes. we need another reagan........desperately

  • @randyHEADLOCKorton We sure do. Those were the days

  • Awesome, just awesome. America needs another patriot.

  • Comment removed

  • Is that George Bush Sr. behind him there, at 0:35?

  • @AETutorials42 yes, because he was the vice president during the reagan administration

  • @randyHEADLOCKorton

    Well I knew that much.

  • @AETutorials42 yes.

  • @AETutorials42 vice president sits there during the state of the union, being president of the senate.

  • @AETutorials42 That's him there the whole time. He was the Vice President for Reagan's terms.

  • @AETutorials42 Prime Minister Bush

  • @AETutorials42 he was vice pres at the time

  • @AETutorials42 Yes, at State of the Unions and pretty much every Presidential address to Congress the Vice President and Speaker of the House (Tip O'Neil in this video) sit behind the President.

  • @AETutorials42 Yes in all his glory

  • @AETutorials42 Yes--he was Reagn's vice president. The other man is Tip O'Neil--Speaker of the House (Democrat).

  • @AETutorials42 George was Reagan's VP.

  • The joke at 4:04 is amazing.

  • 9:00 The only man EVER to make a pun funny.

  • I agree, he was by far one of the best presidents this nation has ever known. Liking his policies or not, his genuine LOVE for this country and respect for the fellow man ALWAYS shined through.

He built Star Wars but he didn't POWER over Gorbachev, he won his respect and that's what stopped the cold war! We owe a serious gratitude to this exceptionally gifted person who gave his best to the nation he loves. Thanks for the comments Sheppard - he made me proud as well.. :)

    God Bless America!!

  • @BONZAII42 well said

  • We miss you greatly, Mr. President!

  • Ronald Reagan made me proud...

  • Ronald Reagan will forever be remembered as "The Great Communicator". It wasn't his policies or his effectiveness to find the right words, which he ALWAYS did.... It was that boyish smile, and that soft toned delivery followed by an extremely intellectual finesse to cut someone's legs off without them ever feeling a sting. I grew up 5 miles from Mount Rushmore as a child, and I say if there is any rock left, President Reagan should be added. :) God please re-incarnate him, we need him now!! :)

  • @BONZAII42 "I say if there is any rock left, President Reagan should be added" I would absolutely support such a measure. He was one of our greatest Presidents and I admire him greatly!

  • Ron Paul is the only guy serious about getting down the size of the government. Ron Paul 2012.

  • As a liberal Democrat who supports Obama and has been against Bush, I believe that Ronald Reagan was a good president. Maybe not perfect. No president is perfect. But he seems better and more reasonable than a lot of the other politicians we have today.

  • He was not the best actor... But He sure was the BEST PRESIDENT we ever had!

  • I feel sad and miss him greatly.....but also very priveleged that he was my first President that i voted for. I share him with my children every chance possible so that they can experience a true American President. Go to his Presidential Library in Simi Valley, you won't have a dry eye. It is trully inspiring <3

  • Regan is like an old Grandfather that's telling his family its all going to be ok. Regan. The last Great President of the United States.

  • I did volunteer work, my freshman year in college, on his '84 campaign...not that he needed my help or anyone else's. It was a great time in the nation.

In these dreadful times people keep saying we need another Reagan or ask where is the next Reagan. Ronald Reagan is deceased. He was one of the great figures of the 20th century but it is time to move on and look elsewhere. I suggest you look toward New Jersey or Kentucky.

  • Ronald Reagan is so missed. What a wonderful man, and President!

  • I read a story somewhere that said he used to always feed squirles in the front yard of the White House everyday. When he left office, he left a note where the squirles would eat that said, "Warning: The new guy has a dog."

  • Ronald Reagan stood for everything that's right with America. Boy- did the liberals hate him for that!!!! Great man, we could certainty use someone like him now. Instead we have a guy in the White House who hates America.

  • I miss Reagan...

  • God bless ya, Ronnie. We sure could use you now!

  • @edmac333 When I was a kid I took him for granted. Jefforsonianism with a flair. Thank God for You Mr. President!

  • If you visit the eastern european countries you will find his picture everywhere, in homes, offices, and bars etc. When i travelled through these countries after the fall of the berlin-wall the freed peoples always mentioned his name with praise and were so greatful that he stood up to the soviet union and ultimately helped greatly to its demise. Sure, he was not perfect, and neither was his administration, but pound for pound he was a great american and deeply loved his country. R.I.P sir.

  • @janweltevreden Long life Ronald reagan

He is our hero, he save us from Communism in Nicaragua, he gave arms to some anti-comunist guerillas, thanks to him we no longer live in exile

  • @anticochon1 Finally! Someone who appreciates what Reagan did in Nicaragua!! :D

  • @whatevr192 a lot of people does, specially farmers in the north and right wing politicians in Nicaragua appreciate and feel admiration for this great men. THANKS TO RONALD REAGAN THE WORLD IS A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE¡¡¡

    LONG LIFE RONALD REAGAN

  • @anticochon1 I'm glad you think that and I agree. Many of the liberals in America do not like what Reagan did.

  • The only thing I remember about the Carter administration was eating government cheese all the time. My dad left my mom and I when I was about 5 years old and she had to stand in line for government cheese and peanut butter. The grilled cheese sandwiches were horrid!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, seems like happy times are back again:)

  • Hasn't enough time passed now that we can look objectively at the mans strengths and weaknesses without trotting out tired party lines?

Pros: a great leader, a brilliant orator (as the clip shows), successfully managed the end of the cold war.

Cons: set the stage for the current financial difficulties, poor grasp of the details.

  • That sheriff joke made me!

  • When Reagan was President, he made you feel proud to be an American. We need that kind of leadership again.

  • I missed this one but Reagan was truly the greatest !

  • Ronald Reagan loved his country, and he was such a great President. I would definitely call him "Mr. President". He is the kind of man we need now, rather than what we have. What a difference!

  • We very badly need another President like Reagan. We will never need nor want

    anorher President like Obama!!!

  • Two dislikes must be demos. Raise your hand please. This is my number 1 hero with John Wayne being my second.

  • Can we clone him??

  • The two dislikes are still waiting for the plumber.

  • The GREATEST President in my (63 year) "young" life! RIP Ronnie, we still love you!

  • Hopefully, the days of men like him leading this country are not gone. Bless you Mr. Reagan for all that you did for this country and the world.

  • Only one dislike. Will the Democrat please raise his hand?

  • 7:40

I guess back then, quarters had value.

Haha, I love Reagan. BRING HIM BACK!!!

  • OMG! Do we ever need another Ronald Reagan now!!

  • What a wonderful man.

  • they don't make presidents like they used to

  • The joke at 5:30 with the reverend I don't get it... can someone explain it to me?

  • @safewaysecurity I wasn't sure about it either but i think he was calling himself god or something like he's the Land Lord

  • @safewaysecurity The farmer did all of the work, but the reverend is only praising God.

  • @kr0n0s187 oh lol thanks.

  • @safewaysecurity God had the old stream bed for centuries but only produced errant rocks, boulders, and worthless brush. The farmer tackled the old stream bed one year, turned it around, and then produced bountiful crops. Meaning, God produced nothing substantial and the Farmer produced all the healthy vegetables, etc.

  • God bless Ronald Reagan And god bless America. Cant wait for another man as great as this man. I hope I get to see it in my lifetime.

  • A great US president, and, quite surprisingly (well, not so, putting his presidency back in the context of the time), probably the one which most Europeans will remember fondly...

  • one of two republicans i would have voted for... the other being abraham lincoln

  • @shantanukhandkar A truly great man. I wish someone even half as great as Reagan would run for election.

  • Reagan was a politician his tax and economic policies weren't fantastic. He really did love this country though. You could tell by his words he loved it. Great man.

  • that one person is a democrat

  • the best u.s president

  • Boy do we need him more than ever right about now...

  • Jim Gaffigan makes me laugh too, but that don't make him a great President.

  • Happy birthday Ronald Reagan! Rest In Peace and watch over our country!

<3 We love and miss you Mr. Reagan!

  • Happy Birthday Reagan! 100 years of one of the best presidents ever, him and Obama, hahaha OMG ya right Obamas the worst! RIP Reagan. God give us another after this wierdo.

  • President Reagan, President Lincoln and President Washington were the best three presidents this country could've asked for.

They'd be crying if they saw the country as it is today.

  • Reagan the best. (note the period)

  • Great video!! Can you imagine George W.Bush being so funny and eloquent.

Can you imagine GWB telling a joke!!? GWB probably doesn't know what a joke is or maybe he does..............

Joke - A Brand of Coca Cola sold and drunk mainly in Japan!

    Or

Joke: What GWB nearly did on a pretzel!!

  • way underviewed

  • @drivinglucky24 I agree :-) but it's only been up a few weeks....hopefully it will get seen

  • I miss him. His positive pro American message. He really loved this country.

  • @TELEVISIONARCHIVES God bless this man. We would be privileged to have another president like this.

  • @TELEVISIONARCHIVES

I wish Democrats and Republicans were more like the relationship between Reagan and Tip O'Neill. They disagreed but there was mutual respect and they realized their disagreements didn't make them enemies.

    We need more of that
