I don't know how people find ways to attack Lee. I have watched a countless number of his debates. His facts are always correct and well stated. He ALWAYS lets others speak before him.

Every time I watch a rant about Lee the only real points they make are "He lies", "He is an idiot"... etc...

@NerdboiisAfroMan Then you misunderstood his argument and I can clear this up. Teachers are violent in that they use government force in oder to get paid. They are of course not violent in any other way. That, and only that, is Lee's argument. To call them thugs is of course an insult, but calling it ad hominem disregards the logic behind the insult. As for fox, neither of my quotes were intended to be a quotation of what you said. I didn't think you were particularly rude in your comment.

@john42t I'm glad you didn't find me rude, though what does he propose then? The privatization of education? That teachers can't ask for the right to negotiate for a better wage? I agree with him on some points, but as a son of two teachers, I can safely say the last thing we need to do is pay them less for what they already do for petty sums of money (If you don't know exactly what I mean (being some teachers make 50K) I could explain it. Most people don't have teachers for parents XD)

So in a sense yes to both questions. :) As for the negotiation, he would say that each individual teacher can of course freely negotiate with their employer, just not through unions. My mother's a teacher too by the way, but I'm German and things are a bit different here.

My problem with privatizing education (not college, just K-12) is that only those that could afford it could learn to read. If people don't get an education, then they can't advance in society, leaving the rich rich and the poor forever poor. I have my qualms with the public education system in the US, but without it, I wouldn't even be commenting here because there's no way in hell I could afford it XD

When they resign they lose health and pension benefits so no one ever does. I would say that primary schools are relatively ok, but high schools are a grave damage to society. There are many factors why public education has been dumbed down, one of those is "No child left behind" which virtually every teacher hates. Even if I hate that material's being dumbed down, if education was privatized, too many people would remain uneducated

I Live in Canada where health care is a right and paid for by the tax payers. as far as i'm concerned, on your question about how Keynesian works, i'll give you a couple of examples. with fiscal policy, adjusting government spending and tax rates are the best ways to stimulate aggregate demand, which is used in times of recession (hence, recent times) or low economy activity as a tool for making strong economic growth

The issues w/ Keynes is that the gov't takes money from those that invest wisely. Unlike the gov't, they have actual risks and must be careful to invest as wisely as possible. Gov't knows no risk.

Even if a wealthy person sits on there money, it is not doing nothing. It goes to a bank which allows the banker to lower interest due to more reserves available.
