I like the fact that it is bulky and heavy enough to create decent torque in a low wind but what kind of RPM can you create on the generator/motor? It seems to me that we need significant RPM to make electricity.
u really can see that clear, he probably has a gearbox in there somewhere. not sure, im thinking the same thing. although they do have high torque alternators they dont work quite this slow i didnt think....

I'm pretty much sold on the vertical turbines and am going to put one together.
Has anyone figured whether it is it best to go with gears or belt-pully system?
