your right we havent won a european cup (i.e champions league). however we were the first british club to win a european trophy (cup winners cup) in 1963 and won the uefa twice in 1972 and 1984 when the competition was full of top quality teams. ie half the team we played in 72 final represented holland two years later in the world cup final.
