  • play 0:15 over and over

  • out..

  • Sell the play, don't sit there and beg. Jump up like, "Hell yea he's out!!"

  • Oh let me say.... It was an awesome play by both kids!

  • Using pro ump evaluation video he was out by .002 so those that said out by a mile, not even close... Making these calls at full speed is not easy to do and at this age I am not sure the right call was made.

  • best part was when the Pitcher missed the ball...

  • out, foot blocked the bag

  • out by a mile

  • it wasnt even close

  • out bause at 0:05 and he blocked the base

  • hes out

  • Nice tag.

  • out

  • At this age you find every reason to call a defensive play on a runner by catch or throw and catch an out. It

  • Kid does not know how to slide gonna jam a knee like that

  • OUT pause it at 0:05 the tird basebans foot is between the runners fot and the bag

  • pause 0:05 not touching the base so hes out but the ump could of called him safe because the angle

  • ooooooouuuuuuuutttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • out

  • out

  • out

  • out by a mile

  • safe

  • Out

  • That dirt looks terrible.

  • flying ninja slide!

  • he was out good call.. tagged his knee before he reached the base it sucks tho when umpires make good calls way out of position and get yelled at by other people way out of position as umpires we have more focused eyes then the parents watching the games (most of us anyway) and we pay attention to lot more things then the parents on the close plays.. especially when we work by ourselves. smh parents do need to be quiet sometimes and pick up a rule book and read it instead of complain lol

  • safe

  • out

  • out

  • out

  • i think he is safe pause at 0:05 but it can be too close to tell

  • safe but to close for an ump to see from home so it was probably to call him out since the ball bet him there.

  • out

  • out

  • pause the video he is safe

  • SAFE

  • is that sand

  • pause at 0:05

  • safe

  • out all day

  • safe

  • lets end this all for one already. there is no tie here. and there is no tie goes the runner hte rules state. that the runner has to BEAT the ball to the bag. a tie is not beating the ball thefore he is out. if hte umpire calls him safe according to that umpire he is safe cause he BEAT THE BALL.

  • Is this coach pitch?

  • @blueshockey41 no...if u pay attention u can see the pitcher hes the short kid that # 8 throws it to after the play.. and the kid misses it

  • i think hes safe

  • @pvbaseball12345 he out since the kid had the ball in glove and block the base than his foot came onto the bag. he is out good play all around.

  • @critter2 he actually never blocked the base he did what people should be doing... cuz he could have got an obstuction call if the player touched his leg or w/e w/o the ball in his hand... and i must say.. that was a pretty damn good throw by the catcher

  • @curveballmick he did block the base.... the runners moves after sliding in.

  • out 0:05 his foot is not on the bag yet

  • If you pause it at the right time, you can see that the runner's foot was blocked by the 3rd baseman's foot so I say he is out.

  • Shutup it was safe they were both at the same time

  • @TheScotty125 ---and what does that prove? if "they were both" at the same time then he's out. By rule you must beat the throw, not at least tie it. A tie is not beating the throw. :)

  • @alasjajo i coach a 9 and 10 baseball team and the rulebook accualy states that ties are suppose to go to the runner

  • @driftking50000 Rules certainly will vary depending on the league, but the National Federation High School rules and MLB rules state otherwise....for 9/10....tie to the runner is okay! just don't teach it as a RULE...enjoy your season coach! :)

  • Safe it was a tie at the base

  • @TheScotty125 You're as stupid as EvenSteven2004. There is no such thing as a tie, you're out or safe. And an umpire has to make a "judgement" call out or safe. Personally, I would call him out because there is no definite proof here that the runner made it safely to third, so, he's out.

  • I would have called him safe. the runners foot was under the tag and hit the base pretty much at the same time. The courtesy goes to the runner. I say he's safe.

  • Out

  • who cares there 4 years old

  • ooooooouuuuuuuuttttttttt

  • out

  • ouuuuut

  • out his foot blocked the base

  • 0:06 i think hes gay

  • he was out he was tagged while the runner was just gettin foot to ground an almost messed up red kids knee

  • y are u people fighting over a call on a 8 year old team?

  • safe because his foot was under the glove

  • #10 is my cousin

  • safe by that much

  • as seen close but the runner did make it like 3 centemeters

  • yea, there's no such thing as a tie. I give it to the defensive team, but i know umps who will give it to the runner. Just a matter of personal preference. As long as you call it both ways, you should be fine.

  • very close calls like this should be given to the runner

  • @2airsoftsnipers why's that? the rule "tie goes to the runner" is a myth. there is no such thing as a ti. its safe, and out. and this guy was clearly out.

  • @gagriz18, there's no such thing as a tie? What planet do you live on where two things can't happen at the same exact time? Are you new to the game of baseball? If a baserunner's foot gets to the bag at the same time as he is tagged, then it is a tie. And by rule, the tie goes to the runner, so he would be safe. This is true in all of baseball, including the pros.

  • @EvenSteven2004 haha. oh yeah? tie goes to the runner in the pro's? do some research champ. find me some rule book that says "tie goes to the runner", and when you realize you're ignorant and can't, go back to coaching t-ball.

  • @gagriz18, find it for you? LOL, look it up yourself. Don't be so lazy...the rules are easy to find. Before you start calling anyone ignorant, you need to grow up and learn something about basic baseball rules. What do you think happens when there's a tie? Do you think they call a "do over"? LOL, you silly little kid. The tie always goes to the runner. Anyone who knows baseball knows this is a fact and a long standing rule. I suggest you get yourself a rule book. They start teaching this in LL

  • @EvenSteven2004 look champ, i told you to find me the rule where it says this because i knew you wouldn't be able to. the rule doesn't exist. ok? do you understand what im saying know? it doesn't exist.

people say that i'm patronizing. (do you know what that means?)

oh and that comment about me getting a rule book, right back at ya tool.

  • @EvenSteven2004

There is no rule that says tie goes to the runner. There is no such thing as a tie according to the rule book.

  • @EvenSteven2004 Wow man, as an umpire myself, I can easily tell you that there's no rule about it and in almost every case, a close play goes to the defensive team.

  • @EvenSteven2004 It is not a fact that a tie goes to the runner. "Anyone" who knows the "actual" rules of baseball "knows that". You are perpetuating a myth that started on sandlots with kids that did not have umpires. It has no place in any organized baseball. Major league umpires will tell you that some umpires will give a very close play to the defensive team to speed up the game. Bottom line, it is impossible to determine a tie. Out or safe, make the call, don't make up rules.

  • he was so out

  • pause it at 0:05

  • oooooooouuuuuuttttttt!!!!!!!!!!

  • he frikin jumped not slidee lol

  • OUTTTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i slowed it down . And if you pause it at the rigt time the third baseman clearly had the runner blocked off with his leg! Some little leagues have a rule that you must allow the runner access to the bag. If thats the case then he is safe but it just depends on which type of program this is. However just based on the tag....out! Good call.

  • SSSSSSSAAAAAAAAAFFFFFFFFFFEEEEEEEE !!!!!!!!

  • if its at the same time the tie goes to the runner

  • @Ogens1 Says what rule? There is no rule that states the tie goes to the runner. In fact, it is implied that a tie goes to the fielders (out) because there is a rule stating that in order of a runner to be safe, he must beat the ball to the base (force play). For tag plays, it is the same; he must beat the tag to the base.

  • @JAubin90 yea but in little league like this its a rule where if its a tie the runner is safe

  • @Ogens1 Really, where in the book does it say that. I want you to show me that very rule in the book. I have the 2010 rule book right in hand for Little League Baseball and this is where I am basing off my ruling:

9.01 (c): Each umpire has the authority to rule on any point not specifically covered in these rules.

Because the "tie goes to the runner" rule is not in the Little League rules, he is out based off my interpretation of 6.05 (j)

  • @JAubin90 i think he was safe in my opinion so u cant judge me if i think he was safe

  • @Ogens1 This is not a judgment call; it is a black-and-white rule call.

  • @JAubin90 im just trying to say i think hes safe

  • @JAubin90 It doesnt say it in the book, its just 1 of the unwritten rules of baseball. It's been around forever

  • @Ogens1 man that is a fake rule that was made by kids in sandlots without umpires not in organized ball dip fuck

  • if the runner didnt jump into his slide he woulda probably been safe

  • out

  • Out. 0:06 shows it. The runner's foot is not touching the base when the tag was applied. You can see about 2 inches of space between the white bag and the foot.

  • YOU'RE OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i been in 2 years of pee wee and 2 of minor and 1 of major in little league great call i agree out now im playing for my school

  • the runner touched his foot when he had the ball, and he got tagged in the damn penis! ouch

  • @CAZZERNERY that will hurt in the morning

  • safe

  • wow, that was great! He got his glove down within like 1/4 of a second after gettin the ball!

  • this is gay

  • that was safe i could tell in like a split second

  • that jump kick was right out of "double dragon" for nintendo

  • good play.................very close

  • damn wouldve been safe easily without the block. nice dominican shit right there.

  • Can't deny his dominican!!! LOL

    alright!

  • hes out regardless....

  • out. the 3rb baseman's foot blocked the other guy's foot lol used windows movie maker to slow it down

  • thhat's a good play. and lookin at the other videos, he looks pretty good.

  • Comment removed
