Far from scrap!! I saw these units just a few weeks ago looking and running like new.

@1jackdk They will be around for a long while. I bring chemicals from

Canada to that plant by tank truck several times a year. We have just been informed that plant is going to modernize and expand. Also last summer I got to ride on 420 # 83 for a while. I did not have a video cam but did get some stills. The cab was like new inside. Oh and what a Sound!!

awesome vid! i had seen this train moving in a yard in arizona with 4-6 locomotives from the southwest chief while i was heading to flagstaff, man this place is near everything the rails, the scenery and everything!

by the way is this railroad owned by a company or is it privately owned?

Is it true that these units were scrapped?

@csxketh1 No! They are still running, in fact, they add two more, as the older RS-36 have been retired because they where setting fires. They purchasd two ex-CP C425. The look good, but doesn't bet the look of the C420 with the mars light. My all time favorite. Thanks for watching. Jackmp294
