That's strange. I use that stage a lot and nothing bad ever happens. You cannot copy the stage to your wii neither can you edit it with stage editor. If you're trying to do so, the game will freeze.

Just inser SD-card with the stage on it and then go to stage selection the stage should always be on top of the list.
