  • Can you tell me how to cast on for this? I've been looking everywhere for how to start the zig-zag/chevron stitching and all i can find is similar videos to this one (although this has been the best so far. This video will be really helpful once I actually get going but I can't figure out how to cast on first :/

  • @Sweetpixiepie1 You can use any cast on you like for this stitch.

  • @iknitwithcatfur i must be doing something wrong then. I cast on, normal, 30 stitches then went on with your instructions and I didn't get the cute zig-zag on the beginning :( I continued on another couple of rows and switched colors and I can see the zig-zag fine though.

  • @Sweetpixiepie1 Are you working the full pattern that is posted on the blog, or just the rows shown in the video? That is the only thing I can think of you may be doing wrong. As you knit, the fabric should start to take on the V shapes.

  • @Sweetpixiepie1 I'm sorry, but I can't imagine why this wouldn't be working for you. The fabric should begin to form the points as you knit. I have used this stitch before, and it has always formed the zig zag for me.

  • Thankyou :)

  • Thanks for the video!!

If you cast off as per normal, do you get the "points" on the bind off edge?

  • @jessontube1 Yes, you should also have points on the bind off edge

  • Do you have a video somewhere about how to knit with two or more colors w/o having to constantly tie and cut yarn? I watch you from my phone and it's hard to go through your old vids so if you have the name of the vid I can find it. Thank you SO much :)

  • @fzzypurpleturtle No, I don't have a video on working with multiple colors. I don't often do it, simply because I don't like fussing with all those ends. There isn't any way I know of to avoid having to cut and join, but you can make things a little easier by using bobbins or yarn butterflies to help keep the yarns straight. When I do use two colors, I don't bother, I just untwist them every once in a while and only do a few rows in each color so I can easily carry the non working yarn

  • along easier. You might find some help on techknitting.blogspot.com, there are several in depth posts on working with color

  • You continue to wow me. You are so creative. I can only wish to be. Please keep on giving us more. Thank you!

  • I will have to try this stitch and make a ttern using it. thanks again.

  • *drool* I have been waiting for this! :D tyvm

  • I lovebthe color of each sample you did. It is very pretty. Is there a patter I can get for this?

  • @MsLeona1976 I'm sorry, but I didn't make anything for the video, I just knit a few rows for demonstration purposes.

  • very nive, thanks, saludos desde México
