The real reason why anyone cant beat this is because YOU DIDNT REDUCE YOUR RPM!!! Reducing rpm will make the plane go faster because of the propeller pitch. you need to get around 2250 rpm for maximum speed. Its not just dive for the runway. You can reduce rpm by pressing ctrl+F2. only people who can accually fly a prop plane can do this mission easily.

@Cessna154 You might stall a bit, but after you stabliise, you should be 6k-6.5k ft high, 1.7-8 nm from the start. continue your 90 knot climb at heading 180, using pitch to adjust speed as necessary to ensure you don't start too late or get a false start. At around 25s left on the timer, dive toward the runway and start the race. If done correctly, the airspeed indicator's needle will be maxed; you'll start around the same time as the truck, and win by maybe 5-7 truck lengths.

@Cessna154 Hey Cessna, I think I've found a rather reliable way to win the truck. I shall describe it here since I do not have Fraps.

After the loading has finished, immediately take off at full thrust and fly runway heading. Maintain a climb speed of around 90-100 kts, attitude around 30° nose up. After 1:55, you should be at around 5.5k to 6k feet high, tilt down to around 5° nose up. Maintain for 5s till the timer reads 1min, then perform an immelman.

I did this mission about 2 weeks ago - The trick is, circle the end of the runway until about 10 seconds left. When it is 10 seconds left, go STRAIGHT down to the end of the runway with full throttle - Right near the floor, just pull up and quickly level out.

Yes, you can beat the truck. Put the Extra in about a 30 degree dive and time yourself to cross the start as close as possible after the start time. It took a lot of tries.

Actually, I don't think you can use nitro on non-racing missions. I didn't for this video.

And, my voice was NOT the only once used, but because of the render, the voices sound alike. 2 male voices were used, and if you listen to the last transmission that starts with "Sun Country" you can hear that is not my voice...
