  • it has nothing to do with bolt action or semi auto it has to do with the round and how well the suppressor is made. a suppressor is made with chambers in it to allow the blast from the ammunition to disperse before exiting the barrel which in turns makes the weapon quieter. You can still fire a 50 bmg rifle with a suppressor without having hearing protection in that is what a suppressor is made to do.

  • @gracer99 Yeah, the gas system is what makes the semi-autos louder correct?

  • WTF

  • dang that's quiet... the loudest part was the cycling!!!

  • I win.

  • needs more cowbell

  • Did it fire lol

  • OMG its got absolutely no recoil well it look lik dat!

  • @CoChicken1337 everything about your comment is wrong.

  • @collieoVTEC

Uhhh no? Either explain why you think this or gtfo. If you think I'm wrong then you must not have graduated high school.

  • @CoChicken1337 A heavier round drops a lot quicker than a lighter round when it leaves the barrel, so can't "reach out further". A slower round with a longer flight time will be effected more by cross winds.

  • @collieoVTEC

Do you have fucking downs? You obviously know nothing about ballistics or physics you imbecile.

    1) All things drop at the same rate unless acted on by an outside force (air resistance).

    2) If 2 objects are moving at the same speed and one has less mass than the other, the one with less mass will slow down and lose its energy more quickly.

    3) Therefor, a heavier round moving at the same speed as a lighter round will retain more energy at any distance.

Just stop now. You fail hard.

  • @CoChicken1337 are you a complete ignorant cunt? yes you are. The only thing this has to do with ballistics is the expansion upon firing the round, and we are talking about in flight. yes you have sated two fact about projectiles which are true, but in your first statement you never mention either of these facts, you said " A lot more mass so the round has more energy to be able to reach out farther" when you are talking those distances why would you be using a suppressor?

  • @CoChicken1337 "shots" as you call them "moved less by the wind since they're in flight a lot longer" which is REALLY stupid on your part given that a longer flight time makes the round drift more due to cross winds.

so 1) Shut up and stop being so ignorant.

and 2) Don't start a firearms argument with a training armourer for REME.

and 3) Don't state facts starting with numbers, its really sad.

  • @collieoVTEC

You're right the part about "moved less because in flight longer" was a mistake. I didn't even catch that. I meant moved less by the wind because they have more mass. Good job. The only thing you've done is corrected me on my mistake. I didn't start this argument. You did. As for being ignorant, that is far, far from the case. I don't need "a training armourer for REME", whatever the fuck that is, either. I'm confident that I know much more than you on the subject. Good day sir.

  • @collieoVTEC

I do know what an armorer is. I don't, however, know what the hell "REME" is. You should probably go back to tinkering with your Honda now. I don't think firearms are really your thing.

  • @CoChicken1337 after you googled it, you know what it is, and REME is the royal electrical and mechanical engineers, and the British Army don't use hondas.

  • @collieoVTEC

AHAHAHA NO WONDER YOU'RE SUCH A MORON. You're a Britfag! Ahaha this is priceless. Someone who lives in a country where nearly EVERYTHING is banned is trying to look smart on YouTube...and failing. I do indeed know what an armorer is and I don't need a website to tell me. Seriously child, go play with your Civic and leave the firearms to the grown-ups.

  • @CoChicken1337 Hahahahahaha your such a joke, join the military and learn some respect ;)

  • @collieoVTEC

I have plenty of respect. I just don't feel the need to show any to some nerd on the internet that's a wannabe military man and spews bullshit all over the place. I would tell YOU to join the military and learn how to spell and use punctuation, but we all know that the military takes in all the stupid asses like you. You'd be right at home.

  • @CoChicken1337 Picking someone up on there spelling and punctuation on YouTube, showing real intelligence there! So your saying that everyone in the military are "stupid asses" WOW you DO have lots of respect especially for the serving men and women! Disrespectful cunt.

  • @collieoVTEC

    Exactly.

  • thats reeeeeeally quiet... me wanteeeee

  • Why is the sound out if sync with the video? It's subsonic, not time warp.

  • Fake.

  • damn, i wouldn't have thought a .308 would be that quiet with a suppressor and subsonic ammo!

  • @TheHevquip what makes it so quiet is that its a bolt action, there is nothing slapping back and forth to make all the noise you hear with a semi auto.

  • @DThompson1985 You probably mean that this guy is using subsonic ammo. Which means that the round isnt breaking the soundbarier. In combination with a supressor you get a significant decrease in loundness.

If he was using supersonic ammunition, you would still hear a loud bang, weather or not he is using a silencer.

Point is, bolt action has got nothing to do with it. Try and search for a video of a supressed bolt action .50 BMG-caliber rifle. You dont want to put your ear on the rifle then.

  • @FrankieStoker1987 actually DThompson1985 is right. All things being equal, a bolt action will be quieter than a semi-auto.

  • Its a ..308 win. Using 149 grain bullets loaded to subsonic velocity. Very accurate @ 100. about 1 moa. armando, your funny.

  • BULLSHIT

  • @Armando7654 Subsonic ammo does sound like that believe it or not through a suppressor

  • what grain bullet do u use?

  • Dammm that was quiet!! :O

  • It's subsonic ammo fool. Look at the length action.

  • @gunnydogs

The length of the action has absolutely nothing to do with whether the ammo is subsonic or not. You're a damn fool.

  • @CoChicken1337

    yeah, i saw that too.

    @gunnydogs is a retard.

  • @gunnydogs

No. There is no way at all that length of the action correlates with whether or not the bullet is going subsonic or supersonic.

  • @CoChicken1337

I know it's tough to understand, but if you stop being a knee jerk mouth breather for one minute and take time to comprehend the whole argument you will get it. The guy said it was a 22, you know, 22LR with a shell casing about an inch long. The shooter has an ejection port n 3"+. I rebutted the 22 argument AND gave reason to why it was so quiet. The guy was saying the rifle was NOT a 308 but a 22. Read, Comprehend, then form a substantive thought. You'll get further.

  • @gunnydogs

    Wrong.
